Season Pass Renewal

Featured Replies

I have two questions, I searched forum but could not find it.

When does Kings Island offer renewal?

Do you get a discount for renewing?

Thank you.

Passes for the following year seem to start Labor Day weekend. They offered a $6 discount on a platinum pass for this year, but that doesn't mean next year will be the same.

For the fall operating season, through the end of Haunt, prices for new and renewed passes have been the same. A renewal discount has been offered after prices start going up.

Fall gold pass prices were $69.99 in 2011 (for the 2012 season) and $79.99 in 2012 (for this season). Adult platinum pass prices were $149 (discounted from $179) and $164 (discounted from $195), respectively.

If they were they offering platinum passes at a rate of $149 for this year, then I missed out. Mine was $164 to get a renewal at the end of April, with a non-renewal costing $170. (Plus $6 Accesso fees)

Now I see that it is $195 to get a platinum pass, new or renewal.

Typically, renewing in the fall is your best bet--lowest prices, plus free parking (if past practices hold). If you are lucky enough to attend a private park event (buyout), the renewal prices are often lower than those offered to the GP.
