Hey all, just wanting to know, when does Cedar Point usually opens? My birthday is May 4th, and this next will be my 40th, so wanted to do something special, maybe spend a day at CP, then possibly hop up to Canada's Wonderland (since I already have a passport).

This year, Cedar Point opened on the 10th. Being so far north (and in the chilly waters of Lake Erie), Cedar Point tends to open comfortably into May (compared to Kings Island's April opening).

Just to be safe, you might want to plan to do it the weekend after your birthday (May 9, 10 2015).

Opening day will be announced early in the spring, too, so you should have time to shift the plans as needed.

Typically, it is the 2nd Saturday in May.
