Tanna
I've stated before that I scheduled Halloween at KI with two different groups of friends, I'm suspect that the kids' Halloween might be a good idea for the second group, but I've a question: During kiddie Halloween, are the large rides open? I'm speaking of Banshee, Diamondback, The Beast, etc.. This second group of guests is easily discouraged by the long lines on rides in late October, and are very squeamish about Haunts. They like life easy. Would Snoopy Halloween be a better idea?
Guest dtk1376
The bigger rides are open during the daytime, they're just not ALL open due to working with a smaller personnel than the summer time. I haven't ever been up there during Haunt so I don't know how the selection of rides compare.
jcgoble3
Yes, all of the main park is open during the daytime, excluding those rides that are closed for the season (e.g. White Water Canyon). On Sundays, it's a great chance to marathon rides with (usually) very short waits.
shark6495
Went up last Sunday during the little haunt event. All rides in the park were operating except for Viking Fury and I believe Scrambler.
Tanna
Thank you. This might be the best bet for these guests. The larger crowds in late October are discouraging to them, and I don't think they would get their value. They love the rides, meh on Haunts, and like sit down dinners. They wouldn't be adverse to a more toned down Halloween. They don't dress as ghouls, they choose Lobster Costumes. Edit: Talked to them about it, and they were super happy for the lighter Halloween. As an added note, one of them had the childhood nickname of Snoopy, so it's seems this even was tailor made.
