2 hours of PKI

Since theater took out almost all of my weekend, I wasn't sure if I would be able to make it to PKI this weekend. Well, after a party for closing night for the show, I come home at around 9:30 AM, shower, eat breakfast, then of course, head out to PKI. I didn't have to be at XU until 2, and I live just 15 minutes away from the park, so I was able to do it. I started off walking past TRTR and see it closed. I continue on the path to Beast for ride #17 of the year, which was in the front seat. I get some comments about if I was cold, because I had a tee shirt on. I then say hi to more of my crew at Eagles, and get some more "aren't you cold?" comments. 2 cycles, some great snaps. Those were my 8th and 9th flights on them this year.

I see that Vortex is closed, so I go over to SBSP3D. This was my 1st ride on it this year, and I had forgotten how annoying people can get when they watch the preshow. I mean, college people!!! Anyways, the ride was it's usual lame and somewhat boring self. Still have sound issues with not being able to hear words at some points. As I am walking out of the building, the exit door to side B is open and I see a ride op in there. Maybe side B is gonna open soon, but who knows.

A quick stroll down coney and I see that FoF actually has a line! It's like 40 minutes!!! All of the other rides were walk-ons, but people and their precious heat made it packed. I then ride Monster, but they were only loading one arm because there was no line, so I couldn't spin while the arms stopped moving. I have some lunch, ride AE, then go home.

Some other highlights to the day, a kid was walking down IS when he saw Vortex over the trees. He yells, "Look! It's Beast!" I knew it had to be Vortex he was looking at because you can't see Beast from that spot!

Second funny thing is while in line for front seat of Beast (1 train wait), some people were confusing SoB with Vortex. Remember, this was on Beast!

Also, a thumbs down for the festhaus. BOTH token machines were out of service, so to play DDR one would have to go back to Coney arcade (closest arcade), get tokens there, then walk back to Festhaus! Whats up with that! You have a DDR machine now! Tokens are gonna fly out of those machines, they need to refill them much more!
