VortexBFForever
I went to the park for the third Friday in a row. This time, my mom and I went with my friend Margaret. The last time she had come with us was on July 11, 2013, so it was about time! After we arrived, Margaret got her Gold Pass processed, I got another Temporary Season Pass (I have $15 saved up now so I'll have a new Platinum Pass next time!) and Mom found a parking spot. We all met up again before the three of us headed though the gates almost simultaneously. Being the decision-maker of the group, I decided we should start in Action Zone, since Margaret had not ridden Invertigo and Banshee before and we wanted to make sure we got those. We started at Invertigo. I knew the wait would be about 30 minutes since I waited in the same length line the Friday before. I honestly thought I didn't take that many more Invertigo pics but I guess I'm wrong... We rode together in row 8 (in the middle of the train) for Margaret's first ride on Invertigo. We were in a row that went backwards first, so it was a nice change (I normally ride going forwards first). It was fun, and she had a lot of fun! I got this one while walking through the queue entrance at the exact same time. I think that's a first... [/url] Next was Banshee. Like last Friday, its line was really short. We hadn't even waited 5 minutes when we walked onto Row 4 of the Aqua-Green Train for another great ride. Margaret loved her first ride on Banshee! Even though we originally hadn't planned to ride Scrambler, I couldn't resist. Nothing wrong with adding some variety to the rides we were riding! Margaret and I rode in Seat 7 after a one-cycle wait for a nice, fun ride we both enjoyed! Right after we walked off Scrambler, it started raining! Almost instantly, everyone ran for cover. After a minute-long downpour, the rain let up and we continued making our way toward Vortex. We were almost there when, to my dismay, it closed. A train was being parked on the lift hill with the other two in the station and brake run right as we were showing up. A few others who had arrived at the same time were saying to their parties, "It's closed!!" Since it was already 2:40, we had to get to the theater soon if we wanted to see Cirque Imagine at 3:00. We walked all the way back to Action Zone as THE SUN CAME BACK OUT... We arrived at the theater right when they were launching a shirt into the crowd. The theater was around half to three fifths full, which wasn't too bad.As we were sitting down near the front of the center section, the clown on stage was raising and lowering his arms to "control" the noise of the audience's cheering. This continued for twenty more seconds before he ran behind the curtain. At 3:00, the show began. I remembered most of the acts from last year, although there was one that was entirely new - and of course, very cool to watch. It was a great show and it got a standing ovation! Expect Part 2 tomorrow!!
