Went to PKI yesterday on Labor Day. The guy at the parking gate said they weren't expecting a crowd. On the way out I have never seen that many cars in the parking lot. Ever. Anyway, about the day, it was awesome. Went to the water park for the first time in about 12 years. I want to spend a whole day there next summer. Got to ride the new water slides, and also wait about an hour total in line for food at the Outback shack. The water park was absolutely packed. Very fun though.

In the main park, I rode drop zone for the first time. It was absolutely terrifying and could easily cause a phobia. I'll probably ride it again the next time I'm there.

Got to ride all the usual coasters. Even though the placed was packed, no real waits for any of those.

Overall, a great day. Glad I got to go to the water park on the last day of operation. You'd think when you were there yesterday it was about June with the crowd and the weather.

Looking forward to '05 and the IJST.

There was at least 25,000 people there yesterday(mon) and 47,000 on sun I bet It was packed.

I was at PKI that day.......but there was a heck of alot more people in the main park, but what i dont get, less people in Boomerang bay, i only got to ride or do was Crocidile run and Coolangotta

Labor Day weekend.. Cheerleading and dance competition at Timberwolf.. Sunday was INSANE over there.. ( My team competed that day, WE WON TOO.. Haha) and I went for a few hours on Monday.. WAYY less crowded then the day before.. I had 3 walk-ons before I had to wait in a line and then a 20 minute wait for Son of Beast.

I always try to get a ride or two in before my shift. On Sunday, I pretty much gave up when I got to the park. On Monday, I was actually able to score a few rides before my swing. I was also able to get out of work 15 minutes early, which meant I could run back to Eagles, to close 'em out.

A friend in management told me a few years ago that during a 3-day weekend, the Sunday becomes the "Saturday." (meaning the busier day) This weekend, that was definitely true....
