M & M Productions Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I went to it when it was Geauga Lake the first time, and thought it was a great park. I then went to it when it changed over to Six Flags Ohio, and thought it was still a great park and then when it turned over to SFWOA, the ride additions were great! The only complaint I had was with some of the ride ops there, but it could have just been an off day. I didn't have the chance to make it there last year since Cedar Fair took it over, Hopefully will get to this year. Quote
Guest faceoff Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I have been to geauga lake since the ownership change and i do like the park. The crowds were staying away. The park was a ghost town. I hope the people will come back. The waterpark(wildwater kingdom) will help. I hope Cedar Fair will add a hyper coaster similar to the magnum. They need that. They also need to remove the el dorado. This should be replaced with a flying carpet. Cedar Point is adding a huss giant frisbee, geauga lake could use this also. I think they also need a new freefall ride. Such as Intamin gyro drop or s&s drop ride. I have a season pass-therefore i have high hopes for the park. Quote

I agree with you on most things but I would really like to see them get some new paint schemes also so it wont look like the old six flags! Quote
thejoker8388 Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I there this summer. I liked it although out of the three major parks in Ohio it is my least favorite. I mean all of the rides are fun, but nothing is fantastic, except for I think its called Dominator which was really fun. I have to say though my favorite part of the park was the lack of people, compared to Cedar Point and PKI it looked like a ghost town so the waits were really short. Quote

docdude316 Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I went this past summer and I have to say I wasn't impressed. The rides were good, but most of the ride ops were downright rude. I also didn't like the policy of not leaving anything in the ride station. I know that it's a liability, but as long as there are signs posted that the park isn't responsible for lost or stolen items I don't see a problem. Both PKI and CP let you bring things and leave them in the station. It seemed like a cheap ploy to get you to buy a locker. I think my experience would have been better with different people working there, but like I said the employees really harmed my experience. Quote

derbeast Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Docdude, some if not all CP rides won't let you leave items in the station, we got kicked off of Dragster because our friend had a bag and they wouldn't let her leave it in the station. Quote
