Vortex's restraints typically loosen up or even unclick a notch or so on the drop. I have even had mine unlock all the way in the station. If you have one or two clicks on Vortex, and it unclicks two clicks in motion - you're screwed. That is why we do it.

Whether or not you enjoy having loose restraints is irrelevant. Our policy is that it will not be possible for a rider to ride Vortex and have the restraint capable of engaging more clicks and not put the rider in pain. I did not push down hard enough for anybody to be in pain. we are talking about 5-10 lbs of force max on the restraints - and they click once more - and the people complain. They aren't stapled - they are just whining because they want the restraint to be loose so they can get more air.

You have to realize the difference between being stapled, and just not getting your way. Stapling is when the restraint is snug - and we get another click. I have not done that to anybody.

One guy had about six inches between the restraint and himself, and his hands under it keeping it that way. I pushed down and pulled up, then walked to the next seat in the car, then took a step back and did it again. Just like I thought - he moved his hands, and I got three more clicks. He was like DUDE! But oh well. Having your bar loose is stupid, and I won't allow it. You want to be an idiot - go jump some Greyhound busses with a motorcycle. You aren't doing it on my ride.

That's where you say to sit back. And if they don't then staple. laugh.gif But I usually tell them to sit back and let them know why. It's for safety, duh.

Lol. On sunday I must have told 3 to 6 kids to seat all the way back in there seats,so I could see how far the (OSHR) will go so that they were sugged in. And I witness my first guess who decideed he want'd to sit IN front of his restrate. I told him how do you expect to stay in you seat during your 2:55 sec thrill ride. Theyn I relescde his restrate to let him sit in the seat the safe way. Me and him had a good laugh after words. laugh.gif
