Young Gunz
Last year was kind of crappy because there was only two shows and it seemed like PKI didn't have any budget for anything. Do you think that this year things will be better with Cedar Fair running the show or do you think we'll just see more budget cuts because of all their debt? Knoxville
I think it will be better because if Cedar Fair wants to keep making money, they better nurse Kings Island because I heard its the most visited seasonal theme park in the US. And makes the most money.
italianchef
For me personally this will be my second greatest year EVER at Kings Island. The greatest was 2003, when my book [The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island, Orange Frazer Press]came out and I was showered with media attention. Heck, I even did a book signing and 2 media interviews (including The Travel Channel) at the park. This year at Kings Island will rock for me because: 1. I have a new job that I LOVE for a company that I LOVE and that makes me happy all the time. My last job was a very bad fit for me. 2. My son is now big enough (3 years old) to ride Little Bill's Giggle Coaster and a few other small rides that he couldn't a year ago. 3. My son LOVES Scooby Doo, so my whole family (all 3 of us) can enjoy SDATHC together. Plus we can pose for pictures with Scooby Doo. 4. There are FIVE (5) new shows for my family to enjoy. 5. I am pleased that Kings Island is now "Kings Island" as I thought the word "Paramount" made the name a mouthful. 6. I've stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge twice with my family, will do so again, and love Kings Island even more for the GWL. 7. My son has learned to LOVE trains and will greatly enjoy riding the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad. 8. Did I tell you that I love my new job and my new company? That makes life much nicer. So FoF, AE, The Beast, and my other favorite rides will be even more enjoyable than before. Have a great day! Italian Chef
CoastersNSich
Rather than crass budget cuts, you're more likely to see price increases for food and drinks to pay off the debt. I believe that this will be a really great year for me because: 1) I'll be hopefully starting a "new life" by entering graduate school to study architecture - either here in Cincinnati or in Chicago. If I do go to that Windy City, it will be late summer/early fall, so I have enough time to enjoy my home park. 2) Kings Island's first real intense, thrilling coaster since 2000 - even if I first rode it in 2002. 3) Kings Island is Kings Island again! 4) Hopefully a new attitude throughout the park, more energized, enthusiastic employees. 5) The five new shows, for when I want to take a break from the rides. 6) More of those many great rides on Adventure Express, The Racer, Vortex, and The Beast. Firefall Pkd
Don't expect too much this year. While you may get more than KD did... it still felt like the same horribly run park we left back in October. Got my Maxx Pass so I can go to the other parks, tried to have fun in the park and got very bored after only 2.5 hours and left for Busch Gardens. We knew thinks wouldn't be perfect just yet, but there has been little to no progress in the right direction yet.

Anyways, I think that great things are about to come to Kings Island. I look forward to seeing/riding some of Cedar Fairs expansions to KI, and can't wait until I get up there this year!. It's hard to take anything you say seriously.
Cory Butcher
This is going to be my greatest year ever at the park!
