June 1, 200719 yr I went to the park today and took advantage of the ERT in Coney Mall. We were able to ride FoF 3 times before the park opened to the public. After the third ride, it was 9:55, and there was maybe 50 people in line for Firehawk, so we got in line right before the park opened to the public. The ride opened at 10:05. We were the 4th train of the day. This was my first flying coaster, and I was extremely amazed. There really is nothing like it. I felt very secure in my restraints, and the ride was very smooth. The best part of the ride is the first half: the first hill, the horseshoe, and the loop, which was crazy. The loop is the best in the park, now that SoB's is gone. There is nothing like going head-first into a loop on your back. The second half the ride was great as well, but honestly it was a bit slow for my taste. It could be that the ride has not fully been broken into, but I don't know. I'm not complaining. Overall I loved Firehawk, as much as I thought I would. Although my friend thought it would be, Firehawk is not overrated! It definitely is in my top 3 favorite rides in the park. The loading/unloading went flawless during the times we were in line and getting on. Something I didn't understand was that they were running the yellow train today, not the red one. So either they didn't have enough employees to run the second train, or maybe they are having issues with the other side of the station. It didn't make sense to me. The park was not very crowded, and we were able to ride just about every major ride at least twice throughout the day, our longest wait being Face/Off and Drop Zone, about 20 minutes each. Overall a GREAT day! Firehawk is an Awesome addition to the park.
June 1, 200719 yr Are they using the right or the left station? When I rode on Wednesday they were using the left station with the red train.
June 1, 200719 yr Which half of the station did they use? The one closest to the The Racer or the farthest from it?
June 2, 200719 yr Author If you looking at the station from the entrance, they were using the left station.
