Speed Pass info

Featured Replies

I've not received a speed pass on anything. Since we're going early for Joe's birthday, I was curious as to how it works: I mean, where do you get one, can I share it with someone, etc?

Well it depends on the time you go to the park. Every Saturday & Sunday from June 2 - July 29 is when the gold pass speed lane perks are active. Also, there is a "guest returns" booth next to the keyhole photo stand on the left of International Street, right past the front gate. There, a person asks for your gold pass and you are issued a "card" of all of the rides available that day for speed lanes. When I went, last saturday, there was a designated time to ride a ride. Such as Delirium, which was from 2:15-2:30 PM I believe. I hope that helps.

That's what they look like you get One Scooby, Log Ride, Beast, IJST ticket and your choice between Delirium and Dropzone.

So, if you've got one of these tickets, is it specific to you? When you get into line, do you HAVE to show your Gold Pass? I only ask because I won't ride Drop Zone nor Delirium, and we've got friends going that will. And honestly, I'd let them pick which one they wanted and let them have my ride. No need in wasting it, really, when someone can have some fun from it. I wouldn't want to get into trouble with the park because of it, but it seems fair to me, if you aren't going to use it, pass it on to someone who will.

what time do you think I would need to be there to be one of the first 1500?

Well, it depends on the day. My friends and I went on last saturday, and didn't realize we needed tickets. We went to the window at around 1:30 and got the passes. No problem there, I guess it just depends on the day.

wow, 1:30! So as I will have no problem at all getting them. Do they hand them out before they drop the rope?

I went once last year on a Sunday and was till able to get Speed Lane Passes after 3 o'clock. So it just depends on the # of Gold Pass holders in the park.

I believe you can get the tickets before the rope drops, as the stand is before the cut-off area. I really liked using the gold pass speed lanes this past weekend, but I also do not think it's fair. But eh, if it's free perks that come with the pass, I'll take it. My friends and I by-passed the whole Beast line (full que house and all) I felt quite bad ;)
