Fun Fact: The trains used to feature on-board audio with six surround sound speakers per car as well as other affects such as working headlights and doors. Also, the trains will “fishtail” on some of the turns. Magnets mounted along the track trigger the audio effects on the cars. Each train is a 3/4 scale replica of a BMW Mini Cooper S.

Miscellaneous: Backlot Stunt Coaster was originally is themed to Mini Cooper cars from the Paramount movie The Italian Job. The ride has a separate load and unload station. Additionally, it features two LIM launches and a LIM boost. Canada`s Wonderland also debuted The Italian Job: Stunt Track in 2005. The same ride was added to Kings Dominion in 2006. BLSC features real fire effects created by propane. The buildings for the ride, including the station, were designed by RSL Commercial Architecture. The Italian Job Stunt Track was renamed Backlot Stunt Coaster for the 2008 season.
