  1. I'm honestly surprised they used my doodle that took me less than 20 minutes! Also, I tweeted John Matarese about crediting me in the article.
  2. Heres my latest take on what could go there! PC: @sixohdieselrage
  3. There's also some clearing that from what I can tell is pretty recent (like within the last 6 months ish) right around here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ope, there's new coaster speculation. Yall know what that means! ((thoe124 has returned to the discussion)) Maybe this time i'll stick around after they announce it [emoji14] Anyway, I made a quick NL2 rendering of this thing based on what track pieces we currently have. All the current pieces ^ Side view of pieces + what they will likely build ^
  5. Here is my vlog from the trip, in case anyone wants to watch it!
  6. *taps mic* is this thing still on? its been a while since i've been on here I know i'm late to the party, but I just wanna say what everyone else is saying, which is that Mystic Timbers is fantastic, smooth, and filled with airtime. I would place it at the top of my list of favorite rides at Kings Island, and probably at no. 4 in my list of top favorite rides everywhere. The shed did not disappoint in my opinion, and i think its a great element of the ride. Also, the theming is very well thought out and looks beautiful. One of my favorite things about it is that the line moves very quickly. Almost as quickly as Banshee's line, if I do say so myself, which is outstanding for a woodie like this. Even with the queue almost completely full, i only waited about 1.5 hours. Overall, its a fantastic addition to the park, and I will be riding it a lot this season!
  7. In my experience sweeping, this fix just encourages the geese to hang out and be aggressive by the Bier Gardens instead.
  8. Here are two different rides that I came up with. (very rough drafts) One is RMC, and the other is GCI, both would follow the same layout! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHdtNhoxYe8
  9. NO I can't imagine KI without DT, it doesn't make any sense since the line and popularity is still there Thank you Exactly A few weeks ago it was stuck like 3/4 way up for about a half hour.Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk When it gets stuck, its usually not a mechanical issue. They should never remove Drop Tower, it is one of the most iconic rides, and its usually down very little, and even when it is down, its mostly just for high winds. With a fresh coat of paint, and a tune up, ill bet you wouldn't be able to tell its 17 years old.
  10. So, i've been doing some concept drawings, and here's what i've got so far. Rivertown without any changes: Here are three different rides i came up with, all GCI woodies. Thoughts? Edit: The station and break run on the orange one are high enough for the track to pass over the train.
  11. He says it should have a steegal dive or two. I believe he was referring to a Stengel Dive, which, for those of you that do not know, is a mixture of a camelback and a sharp banked turn at the top of it. They are found on many Intamin roller coasters, such as Maverick and Goliath at Walabi World, but I believe some B&Ms have them, such as (possibly) Fury (Depending on if its turnaround is considered one) Fury's turnaround is not a stengel dive. Stengel dives (courtesy of Google Images) Not a stengel dive. Both a stengel dive and a Fury turnaround would be super great on a Giga though.
  12. Dear god I hope we don't get something with pink track. That would look so ugly. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. I have an idea for a GCI. Follow the black only for if they do remove RFYLCB, and follow the black and the orange for if they keep it. Also I do realise it's probably really off proportion wise, and that Diamondback goes over the train, but I wasn't paying too much attention to details like that at the time lol. 14. I mean kinda. B&M actually calls their Gigas Hypercoasters because Intamin trademarked Gigacoaster. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. Leviathan because it's a shorter ride both length wise and height wise Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Leviathan vs Fury 325Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Oki, so here are my new and updated thoughts on this whole matter. First, survey markers: what do they mean?? Pink: "Temporary survey marker" Orange: "Communication, alarm, or signal line" White: "Planned Excavation" Source: http://www.missutility.net/searchstatus/colorcodes.asp EDIT: Accidentally posted before i finished writing, herers the rest of this post. Second: If most of the markers are pink and orange, with only a few white ones, i'd say they're just putting in wires and doing general surveying. Besides removing trees, has anyone seen any actual excavation? Third: With the sheer amount of survey markers, I would say its probably going to be a woodie. Unless they're putting in a giga and the break run / transfer table is going to be curved, and 3 feet from the train. Fourth: I dont know how true this is, but i've heard from fellow Kings Island employees that there is some land clearing going on in X-Base near Flight of Fear. If this is true, it could correspond with the land that was being cleared behind Banshee during the off season. Maybe they'll get a giga in 2018 or 19 in X-Base. While they're at it, they could get new bathrooms over there. TL;DR, I think they'll get a wooden coaster in Rivertown this year, and a Giga in X-Base/behind Banshee in 2018/19.
  18. *coughs* keyholes Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  19. The Smiler. I love that ride, (i haven't been on it, but it looks fantastic) and i think it would be a great fit here. (in X-Base, maybe) (but make sure to apply Kings Island's safety standards to it so it doesn't crash)
  20. Oh sorry I didn't know I wasn't allowed to exclaim. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. THAT SOUNDS SUPER PLAUSIBLE Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. So i was looking through some Cedar Fair trademarks, and there was one called Stratosaur. (I know it says it's dead, but the trademark "Kings Island" also said it was dead. Idk how accurate this trademark site is) Anyway, maybe this will be the name of our next coaster? Maybe its hinting that the next coaster will be a stratacoaster?? 0_o Edit: Centurion is still on the list btw
  23. Ugh why is everyone so hell-bent on taking out Vortex Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  24. Not to mention, Fury 325 comes pretty close to Intimidator.
