We are going to take a 2 or 3 day trip to the Island this season, thanks to "Dub Ya" for the tax rebate!!!! LOL

I am wondering what the best hotel to stay at is.

Is the Kings Island Inn the closest Hotel to the park?

I would like to find someplace that we can park the car in the Hotel lot, and then walk, or catch shuttles to the park.

We have a small child, so we may need to leave a few times for rest, snacks and things. So a shuttle with several trips back and forth would be ideal.

I know when we camped, the tram just ran back and forth all day, anybody else do that?

As far as I know I think Kings Island Resort, Great Wolf Lodge, Days Inn, and a Holiday Inn all run shuttles to and from the park, but i'm not 100 percent sure.

The Great Wolf Lodge and the Kings Island Resort and Conference Center are the only hotels that run a shuttle to Kings Island.

The Great Wolf Lodge is the most awesome hotel in the Tri-State, but not cheap. Check out the rates. If you are looking for a bargain on Exit 25 - the same exit as Kings Island - try Best Western or Microtel.

I have stayed at the Kings Island Resort several times over the years and have had good luck. However, you may want to see what others are saying about it before you make a decision. Using AAA may save you 10% too. Using thee shuttle will save you the cost to park, and it runs every 15 minutes or so. Plus using the shuttle is very convenient if you want to go back to the room to take a rest or a swim in the afternoon.
