I know this may have been posted before and i'm sorry if I didn't see it. Does anyone know when SOB will reopen? Also, does anyone have a picture of the track put in place of the loop. Thanks to anyone who replys

It is been talked about opening by memorial day weekend and if not sometime early in June but there hoping for memorial day weekend.

I don't think SOB even has it's trains on it yet.

Yeah I also heard early June, and as late as July. I haven't saw any trains yet, but I'll be at the park on Friday, I'll look to see if they are on the track yet. Also you can see the new track work in the opening day pics on this site.

Im kinda new to all this but i got a question. Ive heard stuff about they are adding a tunnel where the loop used to be. Is that true?

Channel 5 news just did a story on Firehawk/ Son of Beast, and they said that SoB will NOT be ready for Memorial Day weekend due to something like 'construction delays'. They did say that they expect it to open some time this summer.

On a side note they also pretty much confirmed that Firehawk will be opening as planned on Memorial Day weekend, providing that all tests go well. It just got me even more pumped up for the summer.

I just saw the Firehawk commercial on TV, I wonder why they didn't wait to start showing these till after the ride opens. People are going to think it's open.

Does anyone thing Firehawk may be doing some dry test runs durning the week that is memorial day weekend. I think with the lesser crowds it would be a good time to train the crew and work the kinks out.

Firehawk:

Has been tested and cycled, made it around the first time they sent the train out. Possibly going to open up with a one train operation. They are just working out some electrical issues with the ride. Those trains are very high tech.

Son of Beast:

Trains are not on the track. They were being modified and are possibly still working on them. Believe me, once they do get the trains on the track, some heavy testing will be in place.

That would be terrible if there is only one train for FH running opening weekend!!!!

I don't even think it would be worth to open if there was only one train in operation.

I didn't plan on going on Memorial Weekend to ride Firehawk, but after hearing that it may only be a one train operation, I definately will NOT even try to.

Yeah but SOB opened with one train operation. I somehow doubt Firehawk will only open with one train, unless they are having problems with the other train.

SOB opens July 4th.
