iChase
LOL, classic. It's foreign to me that people could be so uninformed. Yeah, I remember that commercial. Seems like Ford, not sure though.
DropZone99
Ive' seen tons of pictures of SOB's new trains and ive' ridden Hurricane, but what are the restraints on them???, i forget [i rode Hurricane in 2002].
The Interpreter
U bars that come up from the floor that are remarkably similar to the ones on Son of Beast's old trains, but without the large attachments at the top. See also the restraints on Twisted Twins at Kentucky Kingdom.
TOPGUN1993
So there just like Adventure Express, Magnum, Gemini?
The Interpreter
They are VERY similar to those rides...
DropZone99
Im guessing they're going to be like Mindbender's at SFOG... And is that going to be all the restraints???, no seatbelts???? Ifso than that is awesome!!!
The Interpreter
The restraints are more substantial than Mindbender's (and have been since a rider of, I believe, The Boss, came back into the station some years back carrying part of the restraint with him!). And knowing Cedar Fair, there WILL also be seat belts. http://www.parkothek.info/photos/29/24.jpg This is to show the restraints, the train design obviously does not look like that on the exterior. iChase
Anyone know if these easily accept persons of exceptional size? (Insert awkward laugh) I can't fit into FoF anymore. If these are indeed similar to AE then I'm in luck.
The Interpreter
I have NEVER seen a person of exceptional size turned away at Twisted Twins. Much depends on the length of seat belts installed by Cedar Fair (and I am assuming there WILL be seat belts...)
corn4ahead
Those lapbars on MXL200 suck. They hurt against your thighs when you are in those bunny hills. I think SoB should have gotten Intamin wooded trains with the lapbars like MF. That would be nice!!!

I wouldn't mind the MF lap bars but just use a far longer seatbelt. I can't ride it and TTD because of the seatbelt length.
The Interpreter
INTAMIN no longer uses the MF type lapbars. See Maverick and El Toro for the new styles. The seat belt length on MF is as a result of a manufacturer (INTAMIN) recommendation.

My expression on the ORP was hilarious to see afterwards though.

The Interpreter
You could try reading the entire thead, each train has six cars with two rows of seats each, thus seating 24 people. Say thank you. Terpy, being nice for some reason

Beast1979
Here's a Hint: Try 2 red and Blue PTC Cars with 6 cars each, each car with room for 4 people. Beast1979
The Interpreter
If you mean currently on the coaster, nope...they are Gerstlauer....the park was looking for lighter trains. . .
DiSab
I don't know how other people feel about this, but I think the trains should have been painted red and yellow, instead of blue. It's just looking too much like The Racer now. Plus, it would be using the original train colors from both SoB and Beast. To me, blue just doesn't seem like a SoB color at all... Dvo
They should have... oh wait this thread should have ended in June. Way to resurrect a topic again. And for what? The Interpreter
And wrong on several counts....not only are they NOT PTC, as mentioned, but it's two TRAINS, not cars... Sigh.
