So while I was on Screamscape looking for updates to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, I saw a news update for Kings Dominion saying that they had officially changed their Halloween event name from FearFest to.....the Halloween Haunt.

I highly doubt Scarowinds will be renamed because that's actually original and clever, duh. Which leaves Kings Island and Canada's Wonderlands' events, as they both still have the FearFest moniker.

Could we possibly see a rename to ours to the Haunt, along with a rumored warning label to leave the little ones at home like Screamscape hinted at for Dominion?

I wouldn't count on a name change, I like Fear Fest better though. I've always been a fan of FearFest and enjoy going but nothing has even come close to impressing me as much as Fear Fest I.

Have there been any ads out yet? That would tell you, if anything.

Maybe Cedar Fair is looking for a unique name for all of their parks?

Also, on Canada's Wonderland's website I cannot find any mention of a Halloween Event. Did Cedar Fair do away with it at this park?

As long as Cedar Fair doesn't find a way to mess up FearFest or Halloween Haunt or whatever by going cheap I'll be fine with whatever it's called. (Personally I think FearFest would be a better name though)

They can easily change names in a press release. Scarowinds was just Scarowinds until the other day now you see "Scarowinds Halloween Haunt" everywhere. If Cedar Fair has that big of a desire to name change, they will.

There may also be a possibility for our event to last up until 1:00 in the morning, as depicted on Scarowinds' site.

That, and the fact that Scarowinds' Halloween Haunt will now be from the 25th to All Hallow's Eve this year. I know quite a few of the returners and all the new hires for FF have noticed this, but is there a chance for a few "Fright Nights on School Nights" this season?

yea.. my rehersals sheet.. said for operating nights : 6pm-1am (6pm being our "possible" call time) cause we ALL know how that goes back stage at Paramount Theater

I'll have to ask you guys and ghouls where you'll be haunting when it gets closer to FF. I'm going up and if anyone scares me from here I'll give good reviews haha.
