Kings Island and Cincinnati Reds Join Forces

Joint partnership consists of Double Play ticket package, Reds Day at Kings Island, Kings Island Day at Great American Ball Park, discounted tickets for season pass/ticket holders

Kings Island, Ohio – Two great Cincinnati summer traditions, Kings Island and the Cincinnati Reds, have joined forces to offer greater value for summer fun seekers. This new joint partnership between Kings Island and the Reds includes the Double Play ticket package, Reds Day at Kings Island, Kings Island Day at Great American Ball Park, and discounted tickets for each other's season pass and season ticket holders.

The Double Play package goes on sale Monday, June 16 and provides a fun, affordable way for families to visit Kings Island and attend a Reds game in 2008 for just $39.99 – a combined savings of more than $100 for a family of four! Here's how the Double Play package works: Buy a full-priced ticket to Kings Island by phone by calling (800) 288-0808 or online at www.visitkingsisland.com and enjoy more than 80 rides, shows and attractions, including Boomerang Bay, and along with your park ticket you'll receive a voucher valid for a View Level ticket to any 2008 Reds regular season home game, excluding July 19 and September 5-7.

In addition to the Double Play package going on sale, Monday, June 16 is also Reds Day at Kings Island, as park visitors will have an opportunity to see Reds players, mascots Gapper and Mr. Redlegs, the Reds Crew, Reds Rally Pack, Reds Rover and much more! This special event includes two live Reds shows in the International Showplace Theatre (1:00pm and 3:00pm). The shows are included free with park admission, on a first-come, first-served basis. Catcher Paul Bako, outfielder Ryan Freel, shortstop Jerry Hairston, shortstop Paul Janish, outfielder Corey Patterson, first baseman Andy Phillips, second baseman Brandon Phillips and pitcher David Weathers are the players scheduled to appear.
