The Interpreter
Sort of. The Park offers admission tickets for $24.99 each when four or more are purchased CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 3, 2009) – Carowinds, the 112-acre combination amusement and water park located on the border of the Carolinas near Charlotte, announced recently that they have introduced a new money-saving discount ticket program to assist families on a tight budget in their quest for a summer vacation that doesn't break the bank. From now until July 31, the Park is offering a discount of nearly $90.00 for families of four or more. With rising gas prices, and summer peak prices, vacation planning can become quite the penny-pinching activity of the season. Carowinds, complete with over 50 rides, shows, and attractions, including Boomerang Bay™, the 20-acre water park, is determined to make their family-fun experience affordable this summer. Guests can go online to www.carowinds.com to purchase the 4-Pack for $99.99, where 4 or more tickets are only $24.99 each until July 31! By choosing the specific day to visit, excluding Saturdays and July 19, all made easy online, a complete vacation has become entirely inexpensive. New for 2009, Carowinds debuted Carolina Cobra, the 125-foot tall towering twisting serpent that sends riders speeding into a cobra roll and 360-degree loop forwards…and then again backwards! With 12 thrilling roller coasters, a 20-acre water park, show, special events, and a 12-acre children's paradise, Carowinds is the perfect place to please every member of the family. Carowinds is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a publicly traded partnership that is listed for trading on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "FUN." In addition to Carowinds, Cedar Fair owns and operates ten other amusement parks, six water parks, one indoor water park resort, and five hotels. Cedar Fair also operates the Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy, CA under a management contract. emphasis added Source: Carowinds

Touchdown
So they are doing what CP does. Except CP is after 5pm. This isnt giving away the gate, its a way to keep the park full of people through closing when the people who have been there since opening start to leave. BavarianBeatle
Why not July 19? An announcement perhaps?
The Interpreter
July 19? It's Fiesta Latina, and the park is ALWAYS packed. Not unlike Italian Day at Kennywood!
BavarianBeatle
July 19? It's Fiesta Latina, and the park is ALWAYS packed. Not unlike Italian Day at Kennywood! Sorry. So when they make that announcement, the discount will apply, at least until there is an announcement to the contrary. --Beatle, remembering what a nice time we had when I took a vacation day on Wednesday, August 6, 2008..... The Interpreter
No. Read above. The $24.99 all day deal--must buy four or more (post 1...expires July 31, not good on Saturdays or July 19) is NOT good July 19. The twilight deal does appear to be. Unless they change it. The Interpreter
Continuing on with the price-a-palooza: SAVE BIG WITH ANY COCA-COLA PRODUCT July 20 – Labor Day Starting Monday, July 20 through Labor Day, you can save $13.00 on admission with any Coke-a-Cola product. That's right, just bring any Coca-a-Cola product to the Main Gate and save $13.00 off a full-price Regular admission. At Carowinds, where else?* *Spelling from a park promotional e-mail. Wouldn't you think they could continue to spell Coca-Cola after doing it right the first time? Or at least incorrectly spell it the same way twice? Sigh. Note: ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION: The Carowinds Newsletter is published by Carowinds, 14523 Carowinds Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28273, who, I assume, is solely responsible for the spelling of sponsors' names contained therein.
