Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but looking at the leaked layout, why does the picture not line up about 2/3rds of the way across. Looks like a section was cut out, and the remaining pieces were stitched together. The track somehow matches up, but nothing else does. The Dinosaurs Alive path does not match up, what appears to be new service roads do not match up, especially the area where the fireworks are currently shot from. Something looks fishy with this.

Me too, photos of the footings were posted roughly 3:30 pm, and within an hour someone creates an account, and leaks the layout blueprint? Seems awfully convenient.
-
They could send a pathway under the new coaster. This doesnt block anything.

The 40 degree angle is not what the support bolts to, the 40 degrees allow more "mass" on the slope of concrete. The column bolts to the 50 degree side, and will come off of that perpendicular. Assuming the column/support is parallel to the track itself, which in the pictures of other coasters it is, that would put the track at a 50 degree incline.
-
The angle of the lift hill footing appears to be 50 degrees!!!

From the measurements i have been doing, i dont think the height is going to be a problem, 320+. I think the biggest thing to focus on is what will the coaster do, in what appears to be a short layout.

This is close to what i got last night!

i did some more rough measuring using the leaked layout images no longer found on here, and google maps. Using reference points seen on the images, i can estimate about a lift hill roughly 400+ feet long, providing at a minimum, 300' drop without utilizing the terrain to gain addition height. Sucks i can not use those leaked layouts.

Should probably check for more filed plans in about a week or 2.

So i have been digging through all posted pictures trying to find something that has not been noted yet, and here is what i found. Regarding the possibility of the scale being wrong, i say yes, because i found another discrepancy. Assuming the grey track that is sitting at CSF is for Kings Island i started looking at the numbered track pieces, and how they correlate to the confirmed foundation plans. track piece "ST3" is the curved piece transitioning from a lower track level, to a higher. Only problem is there is no "ST3" on the filed plans, so yes i would say there can be errors on these filed plans. Hopefully my explanation makes sense.

So again, lets go with what we know, and speculate on what they could add to make it record breaking/special. What if it is a launched coaster (think lightning rod at dollywood, just steel) with possibly a record breaking speed, and maybe 5 inversions? "5 is alive"?
-
Not sure if I missed it, but does anyone have a high resolution image of the "details" page?
-
They will use the coordinate sheet for the locations, then use the detail drawings provided for the specific dimensions and tolerances the footers have to meet.
-
Also keep in mind, it says "partial foundation plan" depending on how the project is broken down, additional footers for more lift hill could be part of the next "area". If you look at how MT layout was broken down it was in areas, and its lift hill spans 2 areas.

Everyone needs to calm down, take a deep breath, and think of what is known. We already know b&m is working with KI, we know b&m uses CSF for their manufacturing, there are pieces of track to a coaster with no official home, and those pieces appear to be of a giga size. The official drawings that we have appear to be similar to Fury. Right now every is pointing to giga so dont worry.
-
Can you please send them to me also?
-
Look at Fury on google earth, the supports/footers kind of do the same thing to get over a walkway/service road.
-
If i remember correctly, from MT decoding, the coordinates are unique to KI reference points.

Anxiously waiting lol

What I dont understand is when I search for permits for Kings Island, there are no recent ones. Mystic Timbers, Banshee, Diamondback, etc...
-
That is a pretty small stand of trees to get into SOB territory!!!!

I that middle section, station will be there with the lift hill heading towards beast, then it will cross over FOF and back to the Firehawk area where there will be some twisties.
-
I am thinking the Firehawk area will be the "middle" section of the coaster, with out an back section going towards The Beast, and another going over FoF.
