Does everyone agree this is going to be a wooden coaster? Are we for sure those "leaked" plans were 100% really submitted to the city?

I am guessing it is a woodie though. Just keeping an open mind. Who knows what kind of curve balls they are throwing at us.

Hello everyone! I've been following this discussion for a while now and felt that I should join. First off, I don't know who will build this coaster, rmc and gci both seem plausible to me. I really don't care as long as it's exciting. With this picture though, I think Greg Scheid is clearly making a reference to the field of dreams teaser that Kings Island posted. Maybe something like Pony Express at knott's by Zamperla?

Well, only if you assume that the plans that the park submitted to the city are fake. Yeah....true. Thursday can not get here soon enough. I hope they keep the webcam on the construction all winter long. Watching Valravn being built was awesome!

Does anyone think they may use the crypt building for this? Maybe?? I know they are keeping wood over there. More then likely just trying to keep it behind the fence. Maybe the queue will go through it and the coaster will run through it. That would be cool to see a wooden coaster go into a building and come out. Just a thought.....doubtful but just thinking.

I will go with GCI 166 ft tall Out and back hybrid. Making KI the record holder in wooden track in 1 park. Whatever it is it will be fun to ride.

Thanks for the detective work. A tall lift hill is one of my main "wants". I can only hope. Also, does Terp have access to inside info that none of us have? Just asking as I am new to this board. Forgive my ignorance... Tall hill is my main want as well! That would be awesome!

Agreed. Not sure if I the pictures in this thread or others, but the vines are already growing up the sides nicely. Perhaps it is for protection of a future attraction too? I'm just happy it is returning, along with several other nostalgic elements in the park. What all else is returning ?? I love the old Kings Island! Flying Dutchmen? Phantom is making a return? I wish!

Let's see...I'm not Terp, that's for sure. But I've been here for 8 years. You've only been here for 2 months. I may not be anybody, nor do I have several thousand posts (usually because I don't know what to say, and my opinions tend to be passionate, so I try to keep my mouth shut, although I sometimes have trouble biting my tongue) - BUT, I wasn't trying to tell you what you could or could not talk about. I wasn't trying to offend you or anyone. I was just making a friendly suggestion to keep it on topic. It's an unspoken courtesy thing in message forums, and I think others share that opinion. Sometimes we have time limitations and can't weed through all the posts which have nothing to do with the subject of the thread. There are other threads in the forum where some of these posts can be made. That's all I meant. No harm, no foul. To add to that....We have been talking about this new coaster all day. Sure at times we get a little sidetracked but who is it hurting. There really isn't a lot of information to "decode". I just don't see the need to come in here and tell us to not talk about anything else but this project. After you have not posted at all today. I am not talking about MagLiz. You have posted great pictures and keep them coming for us who can't make it to Ki that often! I DID post earlier in the day...about 4 hours prior. (Maybe you overlooked that post.) But I don't spend every waking hour checking for updates. If contributing a post every day is what keeps a member in good standing, then you might want to have a talk with Terp. :) .... I promise to play nice!

No one knows anything. So that's the whole point of this forum. Let them guess. I mean at this point anything is possible. Those blueprints really don't give much details but a layout.

yes they will want to hype whatever they build. Its just....that video if the coaster is that.....Boring. IMO
