So I got to the park at about 6:10 or so. Had to wait almost 5 minutes in line for them to scan pass since they only had two people working the front gate. The first ride I headed to was Diamondback. The line was only about 5 minutes with 2 trains running. They didn't have the station seperator and you could hardly walk in the station. I really think they need to keep one on the ride. I dont see the point in packing in like sardines. Anyway rode in 2nd to last seat. Is it just me or the drop out of the turnaround is getting bumbpy? The next ride was The Beast. They also only had two trains running but there was no wait at all just walked right up to the train and picked at seat. The first time I ride Backlot this season since it had no wait and that ride has become a big waste of space. I was really startving at this point having worked through my lunch and I never eat breakfast but didn't want to spend the money eating so I was figthing the urge. Headed to The Vortex and rode in the back seat another walk-on. I can't say enough of this ride and hope it doesn't have the same fate as alot of the other arrow loopers have been having lately. Headed up the Coney Mall midway and down X-Base. Went on Flight of Fear and had an amazingly short wait about 8 minutes. The crew seemed very slow to me though. I didn't even bother looking at the line for Firehawk. I am sure it was short but I just hate the ride. It is borning too slow paced to be a scream machine. Walked further up the Coney Mall pathway and road The Racer. I can't say enough for this ride. Just an amazing classic ride. Rode Adventure Express walk on as well and it was well Adventure Express. I didn't ride Delirum or Drop Tower this trip since I was in the mood for coasters. Went up to Flight Deck and road the ride in the back and well just meh. I usually like to ride it but it has to be in the front. Invertago was next and a complete walk-on. The were sending trains out less than full. Headed back to ride Diamondback again just a 10 minute wait with 2 trains. I sat in my magic row 4. Great ride. I finally broke down and got some fries at the Potato Works for $6.99. Headed back to ride Flight of Fear and just sat down in the back row and the ride was having some kind of delay. I think someone boarded the ride and was supposed to riding. I didn't want to wait for them to re-open the ride since it was running close to closing time. We ended up re-riding The Racer, Adventure Express, and Inverago and left for the night just as the fireworks were going off.

Hmm shows how much I know.

^ I think thats true. I know for a fact you have to be over certain age to ride in the back on a certain coaster. Just cant remeber the details.

I have been to KI 30+ times this year and been on Firehawk once. Whats that tell you about the ride. It sucks of a ride for how long the line is. One train loading one on the course or nearly ready to be. KI might as well not even use the dual loading station.

Shaggy I love reading your post. Great insight. Its amazing to think what the park would like if all the things that were close to happening did. Maybe someone could draw it up.

What a fast season it was.
-
Is it going to be my first ride next year? No but its a great addition to KI.

The last time I was at that end of the park the euro bubbles where gone.
-

-
Elmer its a local seasonal park I doubt we will see that any time soon.

I wish I could really make it to the park or watch the stream but tomorrow of all days as I have so many place to be and wont be able to check until 8:00.

I bet we are getting that StarFlyer they where fighting over before. Since the StarFLyer can't work really well at CP why not just send it to KI instead and avoid all the legal troubles?
-
In quick terms its like the Zeyphr but alot higher in the air.

Wind Seeker or ferris wheel!
-
There is a manual release on the outside of the car.

Tom your are forgetting one. The accident with the broken beam that hurt riders made it back to the station. There was an accident where the train didn't make it back but I dont think anyone was on the ride at the time.

Doesn't look like much is left. I wonder how they pick what sections comes down over another. -
Be sure not to miss Maverick, Raptor, TTD, MF, and Mangum. The rest of the rides I could take or leave them.

I just got back from the park and stayed at Best Western. Not bad place and it was like a little over $100 a night I stayed on a weekend. -
Yea my feet get smashed depending on what seat I am sitting in.

What rides will be at KI when you bring your kids there?

I dont see The Beast leaving anytime soon. I would think a wood coaster wouldn't have any spike in maintenance cost as they are always replacing te wood on the ride. -
I'm sure it has a life span what it I have no clue.
