  1. Lol good luck with lightning rod if you go...maybe you can catch a ride between daily breakdowns
  2. Do they usually explain their teasers during the announcement event? I mean some obviously don't need much explaining, like the ones for Mystic Timbers that were referenced earlier. Once we knew the theme of the ride it was all self-explanatory. Not sure what others think but the teaser campaign seems much more elaborate and mysterious than for past additions. Who knows, maybe all of the posters will make complete sense when they make the announcement.
  3. Haha it's all good. I was actually pretty excited thinking that we may have just gotten the answer we had all be deliberating for months. I guess we'll see next week what they end up naming it.
  4. No I was referring to the thing you posted about trademarking Andromeda. Though I thought a few people said it was a joke.....is there for real or did I totally miss a joke?
  5. Some one has to say it....so what would that make it, a Rick Roll-er Coaster?
  6. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but does it say anywhere when this trademark application was submitted? Just curious if this was super recent, as I thought some people have commented that some parks have trademarked the actual name of the ride a day or days before the announcement.
  7. That sounds like just about the most out of control thing I can imagine...
  8. Hahaha that would be awesome
  9. Agreed...there's a very small chance he might get creeped out by that image lol
  10. One more record it could break...first news reporter themed coaster
  11. I think we're starting to see a trend on the part of KI come on guys, get it together over there!
  12. I hope you're right! And I think it should be open to the public, after all the anticipation for this announcement. I'm just saying its theoretically possible that they may not, and we'll just have to wait until they say something to effect of longer hours that day or something special for pass holders, or however they would enable non-media members to be in the park after closing several hours earlier.
  13. It might be a first for them for all we know. I mean, if the park doesn't stay open until 10pm I'm not sure how anyone other than those invited will be able to get to X base when the event happens. It could be one more record this coaster could break - lowest number of non-media personnel in attendance But seriously, I hope you're right and that it is open to the public so everyone can enjoy the announcement we've waited so long for.
  14. Not necessarily, if it was a press only event 'everyone' would know after the news reports that follow the event. Or they could also live stream the event, as I understand they've done in the past. I hope they do because I'll be out of town that day unfortunately.
  15. The same thought crossed my mind, though supposedly nothing can escape from a black hole. Maybe that could be the record it breaks lol
  16. Or maybe it could look like the jump into hyperspace, I think that would be pretty sick, especially right after the first drop.
  17. I agree, I had the same problem with SV's restraints every single time and it sullied the experience for me. Though I also experienced that problem on storm chaser.
  18. That was my thought as well, their source my just be that post on reddit. But we'll probably know soon if it's legit or not.
  19. I don't disagree that those store fronts could very easily be references to defunct rides, all three of the ones I mentioned correspond to a now defunct ride. Though they had a pretty lengthy list of defunct rides that could have been referenced (I posted a link above). So why stack the deck with so many that have something to do with space? It's rather curious. I suppose it could just be coincidence though.
  20. I see your point, I found a list of former rides at the park and they're mostly on there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_former_Kings_Island_attractions
  21. So perhaps their teaser campaign started on opening day? Could be why we're not seeing any now, they already put up the teasers. Presuming these actually are indeed teasers.
  22. I wonder if perhaps we've had teasers in plain sight for a while. There's a wall near The Racer and the antique cars painted with store fronts. We have Halley's Coffee....Skylab Cafe....and Zodiac books. I think most of us are expecting a space theme for this ride and if that's correct I suppose these would make sense as teasers. It certainly does beg the question why there would be so many references to space and perhaps constellations in coney mall and right by the antique cars. I got to talking with a park employee for a while I was there last night and they confirmed that the painting of that wall with those store fronts was a more recent addition, though I should have asked when that was added. I put a pic below so everyone can see what I'm talking about.
