  1. Yesterday I went, had a lot of fun, albeit a bit crowded but it was manageable. Got a few back to back rides on Diamondback and felt nice to be back on one again (last one was Ghost Rider). Flight Deck was the favorite of the day for me (it typically is most of the time) In case some of ya didn't know, I always find amusement parks the most fascinating place to do people watching and my word, Math and Science days no exception. Some interesting guests encounters from a guy who never seen or heard of Beast before holler in line "wait it's a wooden coaster?!?!?!?" and was pretty freaked out and a marriage proposal to me in line at Adventure Express Anyway, looks like I'm going back on Monday, so yay. Here are some pictures from yesterday. 2. That makes two good rides I grew up with gone. WildCat and Paddlewheel Excursions. WildCat was one of my first coasters...ever. Sad day
  3. I think Firehawk is considered "flying" as opposed to "inverted" or "suspended".
  4. Cedar Point - Raptor Dollywood - Tennessee Tornado Kings Island - Flight Deck SeaWorld Orlando - Manta SeaWorld San Antonio - Steel Eel Knott's Berry Farm - Ghost Rider Busch Gardens Tampa - Montu (I need to go back...) Busch Gardens Williamsburg - Big Bad Wolf Six Flags Worlds of Adventure - X-Flight(presently the Firehawk everyone knows and loves) Hershey Park - Storm Runner to name a few I suppose.
  5. Hmm wow, I knew it was off to the west but didn't think it was that close. Well guess its time I visit a SF, been quite a few years since SFWoA. Thanks Terpy
  6. I'm thinking about doing a road trip sometime in the late spring possibly very early summer to the Georgia Aquarium (because...I wanna see a new beluga calf that's due any day tehe) but I don't remember how far from Atlanta Six Flags is? If its close by might be able to swing it, but if it not, eh some other time.
  7. Seeing as I live about 45 minutes from the park, anyone who did this, is it worth doing it online or would I be better off making the drive? >.>
  8. This makes me feel old. Don't have the slightest idea what "gzz" and "df" stand for. FW, who doesn't find it fun to be a grammar nazi at times.
  9. Does FOF shut down when the weather goes to crap too? I honestly don't remember.
  10. How is Beast not noticeable? The trees hiding it? Beast likes his privacy, leave him be.
  11. The only thing in common that Thunderhead and The Beast share is that they're wooden coasters, imo. They both offer almost completely different ride experiences. But...as much as I like The Beast, its Thunderhead that takes my top spot for a Woodie
  12. Soak City is only new to KI. The brand itself is like...completely ancient since its been around for a couple decades at the flagship park. (tho can someone point in the right direction to another park that's zany enough to establish two wave pools alongside one another under CF?)
  13. You can find it at Dorney Park For me they're Demon Drop, the ride formally known as Tomb Raider: The Ride, and Drop Tower. My first time on Xcelerator when it launched got me too.
  14. I think those were posted somewhere on the boards awhile back already. Still neat to look through tho.
  15. what is bumbarge? Or do you mean bombard? And as far as the on-ride pictures, I dunno if they did have those posted online and even if they did, wouldn't they been long erased now that a new season is about to start?
  16. ....Raptor? REALLY? I'd go Silver Bullet or Afterburn (or even Patriot) before I'd ever choose Raptor. Silver Bullet hurts my ankles. (tho its fun too) Its Raptor all the way for me, lol. I haven't done Patriot or Afterburn yet so can't really have much of a opinion on them.
  17. I'd switch Diamondback for either Raptor or Antique Cars
  18. Some point it was renamed from Oscars to Backstage cafe or something similar before the current name, I think. But I could be wrong.
  19. Desperado! Oh wow been years since I ever heard anything on it. Such a shame it's not on the Las Vegas strip :/ unless there's some sort of shuttle service to/from Primm probably won't be able to do that one.
  20. I know last year I was originally was gonna go to Vegas but with everything that happened with Bonzi's care and paying the bills following his death and what the family went through loosing Troy, Vegas was not a priority and got put on the back burner. Well, after my solo trip to Cali (I am gonna go on another this year later on), my mom wants to go to Vegas (mostly to see Donny Osmond...) and see the Grand Canyon. I figure while she goes see her favorite teen idol from her childhood, I'll do the rides and go see the dolphins (which I'm actually more interested in than the rides but yeah). Is the Big Shot (I think that was the name) still in operation at Stratosphere? Opinions on the coasters? I'm willing for the credit
  21. Yeah I already been planning on doing it at the park. And ugh 5 dollars? I'm such a penny pincher as is. Ah well, at least I now know not to expect any surprises.
  22. I feel like there was another thread, I did a quick search but I mostly skimmed so its likely I went right passed it... -______- So I apologize. I had a Platinum Pass last year, and I found the receipt (I'm assuming its needed) and I intend on renewing it, how much does renewing tend to cost?
