  1. Small detail with large implications. What are your thoughts? Full article: https://bit.ly/3SLesgv
  2. I can’t read the text. Do they say “passholder” on them?
  3. Sometimes egos are bigger than audiences.
  4. Honestly, I thought it was relevant to post but was tired of the whole, bait and switch, as adorable as it is predictable, blah blah blah argument.
  5. Yes. It was buffet style! Nah, it’s served on a flat wood plank that is admittingly very close in color to the table.
  6. My guess is they would have someone escort your car to the cemetery and make sure you didn’t go into the park.
  7. Grand Carnivale vs Bland Carnivale: how does 2024 stack up?
  8. Another amazing piece from the FUN Food Blog: https://cpfoodblog.com/the-cedar-point-boardwalk-that-might-have-been/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3p5qMOPvYC7IzshRnz2bE2paHwxwNk_r5TyAM6N7hyl3an0TO4Axqu6LE_aem_ei1eWB55hwoMDw4td04p0A
  9. I posted this photo in the other thread. Quality is hit or miss, but still good at its worst.
  10. Or you can get the Big Pretzel at the Brewhouse. Costs a bit more, but you get much more bang for your buck.
  11. The integration was rough because they couldn’t integrate Gate Central that quickly. The acquisition was closed on July 30, 2006 and your pass worked at the legacy parks on day one of 2007. It wasn’t pretty, (if I recall, they hand-wrote your pass number at Cedar Point) but it did work. With how inept communication is from the park now, just imagine them trying to convey the message, “Your All Park Passport is only good for some of the parks until later this summer then it’ll be all of the parks, and by the way, your add one only work at some of the parks all year.” The Carnivale parade was at 9:00 this year instead of 7:00 and they even failed to get that message out properly. Good luck with the matter at hand.
  12. If only they knew since at least November of last year that they were going to face this at some point this year...
  13. It's fine. Someone else who does not get paid by the park to communicate with the public did the park's work for them and posted the times in that post. Glad they didn't bother to respond to me, and replied to the next poster, but didn't bother to directly answer their question. I know they're very busy updating their web site, updating the app with show times, getting the media out to the park, etc. Oh wait.
  14. You’d think that a REALLY REALLY good blog would but the approximate times that the parade hits the various show stops. Maybe Don can do some sort of social post about that so they can copy/paste it.
  15. I’m with you on the cards. I’ve bought a card every year for every event that they’ve had like this. I guess this year I won’t be participating in the tasting, and from the looks of it, others feel the same way. What’s scary is the park was PACKED. Presumably there were large groups. They’re big spenders, stereotypically speaking. The food at the tents being $8.95-ish should have given the veneer of a better value, but few seemed to have seen it that way. Also, I saw some people lined up for the parade around 6:50, which was incompetently miscommunicated/not communicated to the media last week. I hope the people who were waiting got the info before giving up. Of course, when I asked on their Facebook… well, they didn’t bother to reply, but when a former KI PR (not Don) responded saying that info would be nice, they said “check the app” in a very, “it’s not my job to deal with people like you” attitude. So much talent.. so much effort.. so much hard work… the people actually putting on this event deserve so much better.
  16. As of yesterday, they also didn’t really have a merchandise line too. They had the t-shirt bundle, but in years past it was a few shirts as well as some Mardi Gras stuff. Hopefully that changes.
  17. So here is a good tale of inconsistency that they are facing. Two weeks ago, I went to the Brewhouse with a larger group of about 10 or so. Someone ordered the pretzel for the table. When delivered, it came out rock hard and burnt. The woman that ordered the food grabbed a supervisor and they agreed that it was unacceptable and took the pretzel back. A half hour later the supervisor came back to make sure our replacement was satisfactory and they found out that it never came. Frustrated, the supervisor went back and got one himself. I wish I had taken a picture of it. It was big, steaming, and was glazed in butter. Not blaming, the sup for the late delivery. I actually a applaud him taking ownership in the end. Anyway, I went last night and was bragging about this amazing pretzels. We ordered one and it came out not the same… As you may be able to see from the photo, the size was great, but there was no glaze. It also wasn’t as soft and steaming. Kind of hard. Not exactly “I want to talk to a manager” bad, but it was about half as good as the previous one. It tasted fine, but was disappointing compared to my previous experience. Just a lesson in consistency. I will say that the park’s beer cheese is superb.
  18. No, all of the media articles said 7:00. Based on last year. The park didn’t bother to communicate that information to them so they went with historical info.
  19. (Sorry to double post, the quote feature was being wonky) The one saving grace may be that the few people who still visit that aren’t season pass holders may see these items as a good value as opposed to the $22ish per meal that is at the normal restaurants.
