  1. How exactly do you do that? You're the second person I've heard of who's gotten over 100 rides on Diamondback (I forget how many the other person has - I'm sure someone else will remember though). Simple-I only live about 5 miles from the park, so I go every weekend. Between the SRL and the high capacity of the regular line, I get a lot of rides even on busy days.
  2. Wish KI would adopt CP's policy of banning basketballs from queue lines.
  3. Even if it is just drizzling, it is no fun to ride a coaster in the rain because the rain stings your face.
  4. An A++ event. Would like to see more of them and not just once a year.
  5. The article mistakingly listed Beast as still being longest coaster. That honor now belongs to Steel Dragon 2000 in Japan. Beast is the longest wooden coaster.
  6. I think they still use the ad campaign "get to the point" on tv and radio ads.
  7. My sister used to love thrill rides, including coasters, when we were kids. Now she cannot stand them because she gets motion sickness while I have never outgrown my love of coasters. Everyone must understand that coasters are not for everyone. I think it is wrong to shame anyone into going on something when they are terrified as there can be serious health consequences. About 16 years ago when I was at CP, medics had to treat a woman who fainted on Magnum- despite her terror her group teased her into riding. Please remember to be considerate of others physical and mental limitations when it comes to riding thrill rides.
  8. That might have been me. Was at KI Saturday afternoon for just a few hours and rode rides 71-75 that day. Would have had more but had Bat Mitzvah to attend in the morning and a dinner at night. So now the obvious attempt to figure out was it you? First Rider T-shirt, asked for front seat but was told no so I think we rode in row 7, we talked about how we both think the second hill is the best part of the ride? That was me.
  9. I disagree with you. When you confront a line-jumper, you are risking a potentially violent situation in which you might physically get hurt. It is unreasonable to expect guests to risk their own and possibly their children's safety. Line jumping is by its very nature a safety issue and thus a security issue. I feel that regular police officers should be patrolling the queues. Nothing personal against the regular security guards but many of them do not look like they have the physical characteristics to handle a violent confrontation. At CP you see huge muscle police officers that are certainly fit to handle such confrontations.
  10. When I was at Six Flags Great Adventure last summer in the El Toro queue area people were sitting on the hand rails in full view of security and security said nothing.
  11. I live close by. I think I will stop at park tomorrow to try to find out what's going on with the registration confirmations. It is often easier to get an answer in person than the phone.

  13. Nice TR. However I would not call Avator a kiddie ride. ( Isn't it ironic that the one ride I got sick on in my 37 years of going to KI was the Winnie Witch's Cauldrens which was in Hanna Barbara Land? ) Agree 100 percent about the train-needs some theming.
  14. Nice trip report Ronny. Do you get as wet as Snake River Falls at CP?
  15. I just called the park and was advised they couldn't confirm my registration but that they would be e-mailing us all confirmations but to call Wednesday if we haven't received a confirmation.
  16. Thank you all for helping me to end a most pleasant day. Hope you all enjoyed the Graeter's Ice Cream.
  17. Just broke 100 today. Am at 102.
  18. I still haven't gotten a confirmation of registration either. It is my understanding also we would get one via e-mail.
  19. Hi Mark, Great seeing you today! Nice seeing you too. Have a safe trip back ( if you aren't home already ) and see you again soon.
  20. I got 25 DB rides today bringing my grand total so far to 70.

    Should I

Coastermania was a blast. Go, go, go!
  22. One possible solution since your spouse is working. Go with another friend and use the parent swap program. One adult can watch the non -riding child while the other adult rides with the riding child. Then the adult who watched the child can ride with the riding child. ( The riding child gets to ride twice.) CP has had this program for years and KI just adopted it since Cedar Fair bought the park.
  23. Its nice that KI now has the parent swap( Which has always been at CP. ) so that two riding parents with a small child too small to ride can each ride.
  24. I don't think it was a coincidence that the Witch's Cauldrens were right near the first aid station.
