  1. I wonder what they are going to do with Red Beard's Revenge? They built the new stage where the entrance was. Are they going to move it??
  2. im so confused... i hope im not staying up for no reason... although im staying up to find out who gets kicked off americas best dance crew as well so its not a complete waste. i just hope the clock is right!!
  3. the countdown clock says the reveal will be happening within a few hours... so the park is going to announce the ride at 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon???
  4. Thank you bengalscoaster.... i was not intending on trying to figure out the name of the coaster at all.... i was looking up old movies earlier the exact day they posted the new ride thread on the website and was looking up komodo the movie... well i wanted to figure out more about the komodo dragon and found out lots of information about the komodo; some similar to what the signs describe at Kings Island... later that day i noticed the trailer and i saw the eye peeking out of the crate and the first thing that came to mind was Komodo... See if i cant change your mind... Komodo dragons can usually be found on islands to be toured only buy people on boat... The splash down and the fact that the ride is held at King's Island really has me pondering... also, a komodo has scales, this means they could be very slippery when wet. the ride was said to be a hyper coaster... most hypercoasters seat a lot of people at once and can probably be considered what people call a people eater. Komodos have the potential to devour a person. There is a link i posted in another thread that shows a few a sign on one of the islands that said, "Caution! Komodo crossing, do not disturb, be Silent!" sound familiar?? Next... "Steep incline ahead" well have no fear or should i say "Run for the hills!!" because a komodo dragon is very fast on its feet and can very easily catch its prey in a rundown... although they can not run for a long distance the komodo dragon can both climb and swim... so i dont think it would be very smart to try to climb a tree.. lol Notice every sign in the park looks to be in a font that looks like paint. although if i thought of paint i would think of red... Komodo dragons absolutely are attracted to the color red, not in a good way either... And guess what... the track is red go figure. last but not least go to google and type in "Komodo Movie". there is a picture of the case of the old movie. and what do you know its a komodo dragon peaking out of a crate. The eye almost looks exactly like the one on the Kings Island website. Now im not trying to say that the ride will be based off the movie cause i know it wont. but what i am trying to say is that Kings Island may have done a little research and probably got their ideas from other websites. Hope you take the time to read this and understand that i truly thought out my opinion. for me... Its KOMODO all the way!!!
  5. http://www.heptune.com/komodo.html This website also shows that komodo dragons live mostly on islands that can only be accessed by boat, what a better to put a ride like komodo at Kings Island. also there is a sign that says komodo crossing BE SILENT!!!! kinda like the sign at Kings Island... check out the link above and see if it dont change your mind!!! I think the ride could be KOMODO!!!
  6. im thinking the name will be Komodo or Komodo dragon. the movie Komodo tookm place when the dragon escaped and broke out of some crates. google "KOMODO MOVIE" there will be some pictures from the video cover that highly resembles what is on Kings Islands website... its almost too obvious... but then again i really really really think im wrong. i cant really get the name out of my head though.
  7. I have to say i couldn't disagree with you more. Yes tomb raider had top notch themeing and it was a pretty cool ride. But still when it was out people had complained about how short it was and how it lacked intensity. riding the crypt goes to show that you dont need high class themeing to have an exciting ride. people want rides that are intense, the crypt definantly fits in that category. Needless to say though that the themeing really isn't that bad when your in there. Im just thinking your very hard to please. Lets just build a 500 foot tall log flume with 6 inversions and a dinosaur thats trying to eat you and lets call it a day.
  8. I say we reorganize the whole park and where the attractions would be located. The clown house in kiddie land is a bad location. In each area of the park we need a scare zone that accompanies to the attraction in which it is leading to. clowns for CarnEvil Vampires for Club Blood Possesed town folks for Tombstone Terror-tory Zombies for Trail of Terror Goths for Massacre Manor Pirates for Redbeards Revenge Prisoners for Death row. the scare zones can be located around the area of the location. Right before you reach the que line for the attraction. Here are some Ideas: CarnEvil- victims enter into a tent like building where the smell and sounds of the ice cream man fill the air. A ring master leads you into your journey. inside are many sideshow type freaks in cages and an announcer telling you about each one. also there will be trapees duo and a few jugglers and clowns. The ice cream man offers you a treat from his ice cream truck consisting of eye balls and stacked brains on a cone. The man at the ticket booth will surprise you when he slams his wooden panel and asks you how many. Club Blood- The setting will be New York City, The entrance to this scare zone will be closed by police lines. Once inside street lights and black lights give the walls a decorative taste with many graffiti on the wall. Gun shots and screams fill the air. As you enter in and out of the alley ways you will incounter many drug addicts and police chases, and maybe right in the middle of a gang gun fight. also pass by the scene of a jewelry store robbery. This is meant to look like you are walking to the club through a really bad part of town. thats all i really have at the moment, add anything to it and help out for more ideas.
  9. I was wondering. With the construction of the new attraction underway back in the woods around the train. Will Halloween Haunt still host the haunted hallow train haunt. also the path where cornstalkers use to take place?? I hope they dont lower the number of haunts and scare zones this year.
  10. Well thanks for informing me, I thought they were just expecting a slow day. For now on I know to ride it early in the day before the crowds pick up
  11. I went to six flags this past weekend I got to ride everything in less then 2 hours. the loss of twisted twins and mile high falls really hurts. plus the fact that Thunder run was only running 1 train. T2 is very painful Chang is amazing Thunder Run amazing Deluge amazing Greezed lightning amazing but short lived. the only fault I have is the fact that the rides are beginning to look terrible. The paint is chipping and the tracks are rusty. I heard people talking about faults that stand up coasters have. When I rode chang the crew really knew how to keep the line moving, I was at the 30 min point in the line and waited about 10 minutes.
  12. i heard a guy on sunday pointed at flight deck and tell everyone that it was the new ride Kings Island had that was underground and all the people he was with ran to the entrance... I also love how i talk to every one and they think someone has died on every single ride in the park. its aggravating.
  13. her are some more pictures of opening day at kings dominion. Some in which are quite interesting http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42608
