Based on that picture, that thing is massive! (POST 450)

Looking back at these pictures, I can't wait for April 30th either. It's been a long while since I've been to the park (June 2010).
-
Preferably Red. Last few times I've ridden, Blue Racer wasn't operating.

Something else interesting I saw... http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/photo.php?fbid=10150175462893368&set=a.226729858367.174830.155893938367&theater "This is the outline to the new attraction that will be announced on the 18th, a Jurassic theme maze type of attraction. Something of that nature." Can't wait til Friday...

One can only wonder...someone said something about a pterodactyl earlier in this thread. Maybe a dive machine? Diamondback proved to be a huge hit for the park and I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to go back to B&M for another coaster.

Haven't been past CSF (B&M plant in Batavia) in a couple of weeks...last I saw there was blue track sitting outside. I only live 10 minutes from there so I'll have to swing past and see if I see anything that may give us a hint.

Got an idea...it's starting to make sense to me now. The dinosaur skin on KI's page or whatever it is...there's an old saying that oil came from dinosaurs. And with gas prices on the rise...what better time to make a coaster based on it? I could see it now, Marathon could be a sponsor! Of course I'm stumped...I have no clue what it could be. Can't wait for Friday!

Went up to KI after a long, stressful day at the day job. Got off at 4:30, was in Gold Pass parking at 4:50- only a 20 minute drive from Milford. 1. Diamondback- Row 10 Brown, 10 minute wait. Saw Gary in line. How many rides is he up to now? 2300? 2. Beast- 10 minute wait. Good as always. 3. Vortex- 10 minute wait in 3-1. Long lines for 1-1 and 5-1. 4. Red Racer- walk on. Blue won unfortunately. 5. Adventure Express- walk on. Some of the tunnels smelled like raw sewage but that's just me. Left the park around 6:45 and headed around the corner to Kings High School for the East/West Football Game. East won, and after the final whistle, KI set their fireworks off. Perfect timing if you ask me. Thanks for reading, as you can notice I'm not on here as much anymore- will have more trip reports when I can find time to get out to the park. (60 hour work weeks are not fun!)

Thanks For Another Great Season!
Hoeter replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
What a season it has been! It's hard to believe that the 2009 season came and gone in the blink of an eye. I would like to thank the associates of Kings Island for their hard work and long hours to make the 2009 season one that was surely memorable for not just me but my friends who also had the privilege of attending with me throughout the season. I also would like to extend thanks to Ryan, Dane, and Robbie for maintaining and moderating KICentral and providing a place for people who not only love Kings Island but amusement parks in general to come and discuss topics regarding this industry. The offseason (sorry Giga) may have just kicked off, but the fourth quarter will be here soon enough and we will once again be enjoying the place that we are here to discuss. April isn't too far away-hang in there! This year in whole has probably been the biggest for me coaster-wise. In April, I had the opportunity to visit Universal Orlando where I got 3 coaster credits for Incredible Hulk, Dueling Dragons-Fire, and Revenge of the Mummy. Also, this season was huge for me at Kings Island where I got 5 coaster credits for Diamondback, Vortex, Son of Beast, Invertigo, and Flight of Fear. I've never ridden these rides before this season. During the season, I met many KIC peeps and enjoyed it very much. Hopefully I'll meet more of you guys in the future. Once again, thanks to everyone for an awesome 2009 season! -
Honestly, I wouldn't think that tomorrow night would be all that busy with many people starting their workweek on Monday.

I have an idea....they can build one and it can run between Kings Island Drive and I-71. Great views of the freeway!

What is the Best Way to Reach You?
Hoeter replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
There's a lazer tag place right off of the Western Row exit called Lazer Craze in case you didn't know. I have an awesome idea for an offseason KIC meetup: science slumber party! -
Wait for Avatar to come in here and explain why he thinks the iPhone is a whole lot better than a Blackberry.

Awesome pictures as always Ronny! -
^ If you're talking about Red Racer, I noticed this on Friday night while riding in the front seat.

Well, I've heard similar stories from people who call the park but Ryan confirmed from the park that it is included. Also, check this out. This pretty much confirms it. Sounds like Kings Island needs to bring this to the attention of their telephone representatives.

On Friday, August 28, I decided to make a trip out to Kings Island because I figured that the lines would be fairly short due to schools being back in session, people working, and most high school football teams playing their first games of the season later that night. That being said, I decided to head up on Friday, September 4 after work for my 12th visit of the season because the lines would be fairly short like last time, but was a little leery of this because of it being Labor Day weekend. I arrived to the park around 4:15pm and found that the parking lot barely went passed the Kings Island marquee. I parked in Gold Pass 52 and headed up towards the front gate. It wasn't very busy up towards the front gate but I did notice that they had more turnstiles open figuring that it would be much busier with Labor Day weekend and some people maybe taking a vacation day resulting in a longer weekend. Started off at Diamondback- I got a total of 15 rides in on this trip bringing my season total to 65. Also, I never waited more than 5 minutes to ride Diamondback during this visit. During my 2nd ride, I got the chance to ride with Gary Coleman- one of the people that has already accrued over 1000 rides on Diamondback this season. I asked him how many rides he has so far and he said something in the 1000's or 1100's- I can't remember exactly. After this, I rode solo for three times and decided to head over towards The Beast where I walked on. The station was empty! After The Beast, I headed over towards Vortex where I walked on twice, once in 1-1 and 7-1. After experiencing 12 inversions in less than 10 minutes, I decided to stumble off Vortex and take a breather. I ran into one of my former co-workers who was visiting the park with his girlfriend, and I asked him if he's had the opportunity to check out Diamondback yet. He said no, and that he doesn't like rollercoasters all that well and the only coaster in the park he has ridden is Adventure Express. I offered to show him around and attempt to turn him into a "Ride Warrior" but he declined. We chatted for a little bit before we went our separate ways. After this, I headed up Coney Mall and headed back towards X-Base to see how the lines were here. Got in line for Flight of Fear and waited less than 5 minutes before I was on my way. Sat in the second to last seat and I think that the ride seems much faster back there. Following my ride on Flight of Fear, I decided to head back over towards Diamondback where I spent the majority of the remainder of the evening. On my first ride back, I got the opportunity to ride with Andrew Klenk, another person who has accrued 1000 rides on Diamondback so far this season. After this ride, I ran into Adam (PKIBoy) who was also with Gary Coleman and the three of us got a total of 7 rides in before me and Adam decided to head over towards Action Zone. Both of us headed over towards Action Zone. We went to check out how busy it was on this side of the park. Continuing through Oktoberfest, Adam and myself got a front seat ride on Red Racer on the way. We then headed back over towards Diamondback again. We ended up waiting less than 5 minutes before getting on and the line was almost back to the entrance with no switchbacks open. After this, I decided it was time to head over towards The Beast for a night ride, and Adam tagged along. Waited two trains for the front row and as always, The Beast delivers one hell of a night ride! After this, me and Adam headed over towards Diamondback once again and we got on the last train of the night. Following this, we saw Andrew Klenk once again coming up to us at Diamondback saying that he lost his wallet. While he looked through the bins that he put his wallet into, we got to watch maintenance put away the trains for Diamondback. It was pretty cool watching how this was done. More to come when I get out to the park again. Thanks for reading!

Earlier on in this thread, post #41 to be exact- I stated that the B&M "roar" has been more noticeable on recent trips. I went out to Kings Island on Friday and there wasn't much of a "roar" that I noticed. Anybody else notice this?
