  1. Read the sign outside the ride. That may be a helpfull hint. Signs do not limit liability. And that could be a concern if the ride is causing contusions. exactly. like i said, the way the ride was before did not hurt him AT ALL, and his condition has not changed since then. and since when is plain concrete and steel beams more exciting than actual props, music and effects? the demon bat thing was broken, and there were no lighting effects or music at all on that day either. "lets make the ride theme non-existant and jack up the speed to shake people to death!" sounds like a smash hit to me that was really the only bad thing about that visit. it scared the crap out of my friend that was with us. this was her very first trip to an amusement park (at 25 years old) and the day started out with getting stuck on her very first coaster. we rode The Vortex and it got stuck halfway through the ride for about 15 minutes. that didn't scare her though, because she loved it so far, and we were not stuck on any loops or anything.
  2. i just rode "the crypt" yesterday and will NEVER ride it again! when it was the tomb raider ride i was totally in love with it and rode it multiple times in a row. the effects used to be such a thrill, and while scary, the ride was not painful at all. NOW they have pulled out ALL the wall images and props from the ride itself and left nothing but bare walls with the steel supports showing and lots of plain old concrete to stare at while it violently tries to shake you off the ride. the sign out front says that "there are now more thrills on this ride", but in reality, all they did was jack the speed up so it spins the crap out of you and leaves a ton of bruises. my b/f has some MINOR back problems, but they never acted up from the "tomb raider" ride, even after multiple rides along with me, but with the new violent speed up, this ride threw his back out and he had to be taken out of there in a stretcher and carted off to the medic area for the rest of the evening. i have a couple of bruises on my shoulders from the restraints when it was shaking everyone so hard. i think the new name suits the new ride style well...this ride is dying and it's already got it's "crypt" ready to be buried. i have a feeling this thing won't even last out this season. it's totally worthless and painful now, so they might as well tear it down now before it injures someone else.
  3. well, when i rode The Racer yesterday it seemed they were having a problem with the blue car. it was running fine for a while, but every now and then you would see it go up the track by itself with no one on it. the red car stayed in the station during that time. eventually they just closed the blue car down. the red racer was a good ride for the most part, but while it seemed a bit smoother at first, it started to feel like it was trying to jump off the track several times through the ride. that COULD be due to the fact that it was sprinkling rain for a few hours that day, and maybe the track was a bit slippery, but it was a bit....unnerving. all in all it was good though.
  4. wow! i've always been afraid of that ride, but i was going to try to be brave and ride it yesterday, but my b/f talked me out of it. if it was having that many problems then i'm glad he wouldn't let me ride it now and don't worry about missing the crypt. it was total crap anyway. it used to be great as tomb raider, but it's pointless now with no scenery or lights inside...and painful. i think they had the speed jacked up and it shakes you to death now! i rode it right after it opened back up after being closed for about an hour.
