We left Lexington a little late and we got to the park around 2pm. The park was crowded and the weather was threatening. It started to rain as soon as my son and I walked through the gate and it rained HARD. There were some small showers off and on for about an hour and then the sky cleared. The temprature was cool and the crowd had thinned. We pretty much stayed in the childrens section the entire time except for 2 rides on the viking ship. The ride broke down later in the day and was closed for some time. Connor (my son) met some kids his age and formed a fast friendship with two of them. By the end of the day we were doing everything as a group. 3 kids and 6 adults It was pretty cool to meet such nice people at the park! We did observe some pretty blatant line cutting however. A black guy was in line by himself for the Fairly Odd Coaster. Out of nowhere, 7 kids ranging from fairly young to early teen ran past everyone in line to join this guy near the front! SEVEN OF THEM! Several people in line made some loud comments about waiting in line but those words fell on deaf ears. No surprise there. Then, almost at a scream, an older lady near the back of the line said "if you have a gold pass you can ride this twice in a row. If you have a black pass, you can cut to the front of the line!!!" EVERYONE cracked up. That was soooo funny. We left the park around 7:30pm and drove to the Montgomery Inn Boathouse (my favorite resturant) for dinner in Cincinnati. A perfect ending to a nearly perfect day. Here are some pics and a video of our trip:
