We left Lexington a little late and we got to the park around 2pm. The park was crowded and the weather was threatening. It started to rain as soon as my son and I walked through the gate and it rained HARD. There were some small showers off and on for about an hour and then the sky cleared. The temprature was cool and the crowd had thinned. We pretty much stayed in the childrens section the entire time except for 2 rides on the viking ship. The ride broke down later in the day and was closed for some time. Connor (my son) met some kids his age and formed a fast friendship with two of them. By the end of the day we were doing everything as a group. 3 kids and 6 adults It was pretty cool to meet such nice people at the park! We did observe some pretty blatant line cutting however. A black guy was in line by himself for the Fairly Odd Coaster. Out of nowhere, 7 kids ranging from fairly young to early teen ran past everyone in line to join this guy near the front! SEVEN OF THEM! Several people in line made some loud comments about waiting in line but those words fell on deaf ears. No surprise there. Then, almost at a scream, an older lady near the back of the line said "if you have a gold pass you can ride this twice in a row. If you have a black pass, you can cut to the front of the line!!!" EVERYONE cracked up. That was soooo funny. We left the park around 7:30pm and drove to the Montgomery Inn Boathouse (my favorite resturant) for dinner in Cincinnati. A perfect ending to a nearly perfect day. Here are some pics and a video of our trip: Video on Fairly Odd Coaster (not sure if this will work) No POVs on KICentral please. -Dane

I'll be there with my son on the 18th!

I honestly don't understand why someone in a wheelchair would visit a place like KI.

I've been reading and looking around the site for a couple of weeks. We were planning our trip to the park so I thought I would see how things have changes since my last visit 5+ years ago. As for the gang signs.....NOONONONONO! Lol. There was some music playing and my wife told him to dance. I snapped that pic and that's what I got. We said the exact same thing when we saw it though!!! He's asked us everyday since our visit when we are going back.

This one is funny to me. I told my son to hold on tight........and that's just what he did!! :D

My wife and I took our 4yr old to KI for the first time on Memorial Day. He flipped out!!! The lines were REALLY short and everyone including the staff were very friendly and courteous. I thought I would share some pics:

If someone is going to put on a show, I'm going to watch!!

I have to agree with you. My wife and I took our 4yr old to the park on Memorial Day and had a blast. My son walked over to one of the basketball games and wasn't strong enough to get the ball near the hoop. The kid behind the counter handed him a big stuffed animal anyway!! Needless to say, I was VERY impressed!

Quick question.....can I bring my own food/drink into the park?

Update...... We had no problem taking some juice boxes and snacks inside the park. We just put everything in the bottom of our backpack under towels and clothes. When we got inside the park, it seemed like EVERYONE was pulling food and drink out of their packs! That really helped keep our little guy quiet in line, but the line were sooooo short I guess it wouldn't have mattered! -

The Screamin Demon was the first roller coaster I ever rode! I remember it scared the hell out of me. I had my dad hold onto me the entire time That was many many many years ago!
