That's along the lines of what I was thinking as well. This year was actually the first time I ever rode Drop Tower. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it'd be, but it was fun.

Nice trip report. I haven't been to Cedar Point in MANY years and I enjoyed your pictures. It looks like your family had a great time!

This is the first year I've had passes so I hope I figure out the least busy days so I can make good use of them. I don't like big crowds, I have no idea how I let my friends talk me into the passes. I've only gone on a Thursday so far, as soon as the park opened. All the rides had short lines. Drop Zone was walk-on. Crowds weren't bad at all. I was happy.

I flew to Orlando two weekends ago and the plane didn't have an empty seat. I was fortunate to snag an exit row with no seat in front of it though, which made me a very happy camper. I imagine this will keep some people from making the trip...it would discourage me (our trip was free, I didn't make the travel arrangements)...maybe they'll increase the incentives they offer to encourage increase attendance from those within driving distance?

Very First Ride: Enchanted Voyage, 1970-something. First Ride I Go to Now: I have only gone about once a year lately and there's no rhyme or reason to what I go to first. It's very random. But I did buy gold passes this year since I have a lot of time off this summer, so maybe I'll develop a system once I figure out where the lines get bad as the day goes on. There are so many rides I haven't even tried yet, and my goal is do them all at some point this summer.

Interesting. I was thinking about taking my son tonight for a few hours so he could get his pass processed. But I prefer lighter crowds (well light for King's Island anyway). I actually wanted to go first thing this morning but I was waiting on friends...who ended up getting sick anyway and can't go now. To go or not to go? Hmm.... I went on a Tuesday last week and it was so hot that the lines in the park were very short (which was awesome). Everyone with more sense than me must have been at Boomerang Bay.
