  1. As far as the accident at Six Flags St. Louis goes (stand up restraints): The ride (Rail Blazer) was converted from one half of the River King Mine Train- there would not have been an apparent concern to overly restrain the passengers as it was a 'tame' layout with gentle drops and curves found on most mine train rides. The maximum height differential was less than 50ft. from structure to ground. The inherent problem was that because of the mine-train mentality, the restraints were under-engineered for larger body types, and without FULLY securing taller/or larger people, that a directional change after the lift hill, allowed one rider to fall to her death.
  2. I always thought that King Cobra (the ride) was actually pretty fun and painless. However, King Cobra (the wait) WAS painful- painfully slow Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America USED to be butter smooth- now it's a headbanger especially in the final sequence of FlatSpin(corkscrew) and final helix-twist to the end. Mantis to me is fairly painless/ like Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I rode Chang a couple times and that seemed to be okay as well. So, there's my .02
  3. Hello KI Central- I've been browsing this site (via Screamscape) for a long long time, but have not posted, so I thought today would be a good day to start. (I'm a regular on Theme Park Review with the same membername)- Anyway- here's my input- The name Mustang seems to fit with all the clues-with the exception of the whole "park strikes back" tag on the photos. I've heard the name CopperHead mentioned (and I actually like that one the best, truth be told). That DOES fit with the park "strikes" back thing. I've heard the name Fugitive mentioned as well, and I think it's cool, but not so much as CopperHead. Last summer when rumors first started appearing- I have also heard the names Black Dragon, Swamp Monster, and Serpent/Steel Serpent used for this ride. Final Opinion: They could call this ride the Prancing Pretzel, and I will be there to ride it no matter what. However, I DO hope it has a cool name.
