  1. That shirt has been sold in the park in the past.
  2. I'll miss the guy. He was good for some laughs to distract me from doing my history vocab.
  3. Rollercoasters are one of the safest forms of transportation. Millions of riders per year, with very few accidents. Oh, and, btw, if the TTD launch cable steam is "smoke", then...
  4. That site is the funniest thing I've read in a long time. I certainly have never seen an "unskilled volunteer" working at a KI ride. And the "smoke" (steam)... that one doesn't even need my commentary, as it basically sums up the entire site in one paragraph.
  5. I hope so. It'll make DB look a lot less like it was placed in NU.
  6. no http://www.visitkingsisland.com/news/photo_gallery.cfm?item_id=200
  7. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/event_detail.cfm?event_id=386&ec_id=15 Quick! What's the first thing you notice about that picture? Did someone seriously not notice that, or does one of KI's graphic designers just have a good sense of humor? (and yes, it is from 2010)
  8. And, if you visit kingsisland.com, that still doesn't link to the park. (but if you visitkingsisland.com, it does!)
  9. Is your avatar a photoshop, or did they actually put "lap bear" on a sign? Neither would surprise me. =P

  10. I'm guessing the postcards (postcards?) were made before the ride was actually operational. Same reason they'd use Behemoth as a stand-in for Diamondback. As long as it's at least similar (Kennywood, I'm looking at you.), I don't really have a huge problem with it. Unless, you know, they left the other park's name in the picture.
  11. It should be interesting to see whether they carry through with all the theming shown in the video or if they pull another Maverick. Given CF's financial state, I'd lean toward the latter.
  12. That's really sad. I guess I should have gone last summer.
  13. And you can see "Domini" on the other side of the raft.
  14. Says Mr. Hugh More. Remember, CF came up with "Beaver Land Mine Ride".
  15. I recieved an email saying that the park would like to interview me, but can't until I am actually 16, and to email them back two weeks before my birthday. It seems like he should be okay to apply, but he probably couldn't start the season, since he can't even be interviewed until April.
  16. The sad is that that particular slogan may have actually come up as an idea at one point.
  17. I applied for a position in rides, but, since I don't turn 16 until March, they can't interview me until then. Oh well, I guess I still have a chance.
  18. I really hope that Way Too Much TV features some newer theme songs- the Carmen Sandiego theme is a must! (where in the world is that woman, anyway?)
  19. Wait: is Charlie Brown's Hoedown in the Festhaus or in NU? I'm confused now.
  20. Just to be clear, you have ridden the "new" Crypt, right? With the "improved" ride experience?
  21. Well... Snoopy Rocks, On Ice!: Besides the misplaced comma, this one might be okay. Anyone else expecting a renamed ESOI? (also, it leaves itself open to "Snoopy Sucks On Ice!", but I'll leave that one alone) Signed, Sealed, Delivered!: Yes! This one was amazing at CP! Hopefully KI's version will be as good. Way Too Much TV: This sounds pretty good... hopefully the selection of songs will be decent. Charlie Brown’s Hoedown: This sounds really bad. Down Home Country: Not my tastes, but okay then. Don't Stop the Music: Lame. When I saw this one, I didn't even realize the show was going on, I thought some rude teenagers were dancing around on the stage.
  22. The goddess carving is still in place, along with many TRTR-themed carvings, including a triangle of light, in the holding area (you can only see them when the lights are all the way up). I can't imagine Paramount would have required them to remove the ride theming but not the other theming that was left... although, I guess anything's possible.
  23. Or, they could have just kept the theming that was already there! CF should be absolutely ashamed of themselves in regards to The Crypt.
  24. SoB has been open since 2000. If someone "just had to!" ride it, they would have by now.
  25. I'm guessing he feels pretty dead. That's really sad. You'd think they'd have been able to keep it, even as a non-operational landmark.
