  1. HAPPY ODDBALL COMMENT DAY!!!

  2. I just had to chime in on the current topic. I agree with XGator-Zombie and his comments. to play Devil's Advocate, Justin, you are more than entitled to your opinion. The bottom line is no one is going to like every haunt. to repeat XGator, a lot of elements have changed, and none of the other scareactors got to see them, so naturally, the experience is not going to be the same. Actually, last year, when I was in Urgent Scare, I heard many of the same comments,"Urgent Scare sucked","not scary, just gory", "boring". All these comments did was make me work harder to scare people, and US got much better as Haunt went on. We all did the rehearsal week walkthroughs, and there were some I liked and some I didn't like. Am I going to voice my opinion, no, for a couple of reasons. First of all, we scareactors are jaded, and while our co-workers get the good practice of having people other than supervisors and other house members walking through multiple times, we do not have the same experience because we are too observant of what is going on. The second reason I withhold my opinion is that obviously people other than scareactors populate KI Central and we all want anyone who is interested to come to Haunt and visit our maze. That being said, I hope that anyone who reads this will visit as many mazes as they wish to and form your own opinion, good, bad or indifferent. Any feedback we get from the public at large benefits all of us. Lastly, let me say that this is in no way a jab against you Justin, as I respect your opinion, and I think if you had the opportunity to walkthrough again, you might change your mind, or maybe not, it is all a matter of perspective Getting off my soapbox now Typical Guy
  3. Gotta agree with XGatorHead. Slaughter House will be the best
  4. Mine is the 18th... working with ZombieGator...
  5. Last year was my first year working Haunt, and I have to say, after reading some of the best moments, it is really encouraging. StalkerChick, I loved the Cornstalkers story. I worked Urgent Scare last year and I had 2 favorite moments. The first one was on opening weekend. I was actually still a patient in a hospital bed at this time, and more of a distraction than a scare. A group of teenage girls came through and I could hear them say" there is someone under that sheet" SO I delayed about 3 seconds. When I popped up, one of them screamed "Oh ****, I just wet my pants!!" I had to keep from laughing. Another one was when I was working the elevator room as the eyeless doctor. When the room was activated and I turned from my corner, stabbing the nurse and lunging at the guests, on woman freaked. She tried to open the door before the "elevator" was done, and I had to block her from opening the door. Then she wouldn't go forward. she stood there and refused and insisted we let her out. What can you do?...she went back out the way she came in, as fast as I have ever seen someone move. TG
  6. Feels good to finally say something about Slaughter House, Zombie-Gator, and I'm itching to talk about some of what I know, but patience grasshopper....LOL
  7. Where did you see that park map? Is it given to the people who will work Haunt? look at attractions section of the web site, the map link is right above the words "photo gallery" TG
  8. strange, because, like you said, you'll probably do some makeup anyway, but cool, Ingrid is always fun to work with, as are you Rachel, I almost did stay in US, just wanted to try something different....
  9. lol Ingrid will be joining you this year. along with Gator and did they say it was atually gonna be at action grill? it just said in Action Zone Ingrid?? changed her mind I guess? When I saw her at interviews she told me she was just gonna work makeup Yes, action grill, stunt grill...whatever it's called now....I know it will be a much shorter walk from the Theater...LOL
  10. Ok, I have to ask, since the new Haunt site is up, and the news is official, Who is working Slaughter House?? TG "What is strange is typical, what is typical is strange"
  11. Can't wait to see you out there this year James I will miss the thrill of opening a new attraction with you! ~Josh too bad you aren't working, but I'll just have to make sure I scare you good!!
  12. Urgent Scare was fun last year, no doubt, and good luck to all who are working US this year. I opted for the new Haunt, which, of course, shall remain nameless for the time being(even though most of you know what it's called) TG
  13. I'll be in the new haunt too...looking forward to it
  14. Oh, and BTW, not sure which Haunt I want to work this year, maybe the new one? and I think being a roamer would be fun too TG
  15. You know, I just had to chime in on this thread. I know the polls are new and only a few votes, but I chuckle when I see the percentage of people that would like to work Urgent Scare. Other threads show several posts responding negatively to US, but as I said there, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am proud to say I worked Urgent Scare last year and I had a GREAT time. Of course I couldn't scare everyone and it didn't stop me from trying. Sometimes you might scare one out of 10 people, it all depends on their personal fears, and believe me when I say that sometimes that one scare is worth it. I remember on my second night last year I made some poor teenage girl wet herself. That made my night. Some people pay to be scared, some come in just to heckle us and others, well I don't know what their agenda is, and the way they walk through all stone faced, you wonder why they came in the first place, but working Haunt is simply FUN. The one thing that does bother me is when parents bring their small, terrified children with them, and you don't see them until AFTER your scare, and you look down at their horrified faces. I really wish that parents would heed the warnings KI has in place concerning the event being too intense for young children. Other than that, what ever haunt you work..have fun with it and stay in character, for 2 nights a week you get to be someone or "something" else... Stepping off my soapbox now, and looking forward to working with some of you this season.. Typical Guy
