In the Entertainment Book there is a "Fall Savings" coupon for $15 admission. Can this be used for the Haunt? It doesn't say on the coupon either way. I realize that only drops it down to $20 (instead of $22), but just wondering. But that the same time, I want to be at the gate and ready with ticket in hand for the opening when all the creatures come running out. I mean, is it worth the hassle buying tickets at the gate?

Enjoyed the TR. Going to the Haunt Friday night myself. I was debating which ride to get to first: Firehawk (because the line moves SO slow and beat the crowds) or Diamondback (because it's going to be really cold on Fri and only get colder). After reading this report I may have made my decision! Cold or not, I don't care. I'll be riding coasters looking like:

As others have said Fridays are much better than Saturdays. Don't get me wrong, there will be a lot of people. But from what I understand no where near as crazy as Saturday. We went last year on a Friday night that had PERFECT weather. We were able to hit up all the roller coasters (except Invertigo), Drop Tower, and three of the haunts. Not too shabby. It was our first trip to the Haunt and we had a blast. The weather should keep KI from getting overly crowded this Friday night. Looks like the rain will be out of here by then, but still quite cool for this time of year.

Interesting. Well if that's the case it shouldn't be a problem; forecast highs are above all those numbers. Of course we are still a few days out, so anything could happen. In the meantime I'm counting the days until Friday night!

So in the end I went straight to the source. Called KI, "will the roller coasters close if it gets below a certain temperature?" The answer was a polite but swift "no." She explained they won't close any roller coasters due to temperature. So let's just hope the rain is out of here by Friday night! Heck, I would imagine thanks to the cold the crowds may be lighter than usual.

Yeah, I just wonder if the coasters be open all night. With overnight lows in the mid-30's, will they'll still be operating from 11pm on?

Planning to make a trip to the Haunt this Friday night, and the weather forecast calls for COLD. Not a big deal, I'll just bundle up. But I was wondering... is there a point where they stop running the coasters? Right now I saw on Accuweather a forecast of 54/36.

Hi everyone. First time poster here. Had a question about the Haunt. I went last year mid-October on a Friday night. While it was pretty crowded (hour wait for Urgent Scare), we still had a blast! I've been told that Fridays tend to be less busy than Saturdays, and the crowds are lighter early in the Haunt season and very crowded closer to Halloween. Any idea what the crowds will be like on the first Saturday night? (September 27th). Based on the above information I'm thinking it won't be too bad. Any thoughts or experiences? Thanks!
