  1. I thought the pictures of Six Flags New Orleans and Rocky Point are the ones that break my heart the most. Those pictures of "Jazzland" are really cool and super creepy! It could totally pass for being "haunted"! I do, however, hope that gets up and running again.
  2. ^^"Haunted Castle." Simple. Tells you what it is right off without any fancy gimmicks. Easy to remember. I like it! and Terpy, completly agree with you. The Giant Dipper was one of my, if not THE first, coasters that brought me joy. It's currently the background to my desktop on my laptop at home, and makes me smile everytime I open it up
  3. As a native to the Bay area, I have many memories of the hauted ride at Santa Cruz (actually, many memories about Santa Cruz in general!) I'm really excited to go down there this summer or fall and check it out! I'm also glad that they updated the ride, as it was greatly in need of one.
  4. Hey, now, there isn't anything wrong with being from Pittsburgh! (I'm not from Pittsburgh, but my dad is, as well as being a fan of ALL their pro teams, therefore, I am a fan of all their pro teams and must have the city's back!) Like it was said in an earlier post, you won't be going through Cincinnati, as Mason is conviently north of Cincinnati. You will have a BLAST! I am also going for the first time in a long long time, and a lot of the rides that I used to go on all the time are still there (some are modified, however *cough Racer cough*), and I still think it's one of the best, if not THE best park I have been to! Have fun!
  5. What I do for my cell phone and other things that aren't water friendly is to get zipper shorts but place your things in a ziploc baggie. They work really well and are super cheap! That was the only thing that saved my phone when I went on Splash Mountain at Disneyland a couple of years ago! But, I would also advise zipper shorts as well. That way, nothing falls out that isn't supposed to. Hope this helps!
  6. ^Disgusting! What gross things people will do to save a few bucks...
  7. Dang, I thought I would have that in the bag!
  8. I wish I could live 5 miles away from the park. Alas, I live a mere 2,355 miles from the park I live in Seattle, so I think I have about everyone beat in terms of distance? I used to live 30 minutes away but I haven't been back since 2001. I will get to go this summer however!
  9. First post for me, ever! Now that I've gotten that nonesense out of the way, I would have to agree with Oldiesmann, and say it was my very first ride on a coaster at the tender young age of 7 (ok so maybe not as young as others). I remember my dad made me go on The Beastie in the front with him, and I was really scared and didn't want to but he wouldn't let me off. He must have known something I didn't because I went on that ride again and again for most of the day. Took me a while to go on The Beast but once I did, I never looked back! That first ride on The Beast was pretty awesome, I must say! It set such a high standard for roller coasters in my mind.
