And just now having the bright idea to check wikipedia i found this little bit about the splashdown: "...splashing down in an L.A. aqueduct, and turning into the ride's station. (As of 2010, Kings Island does no longer have the "L.A. aqueduct" filled with water, hence the splashing effect does not operate)." but it doesn't say why. hmmm.....

does CW's or KD's do it still? or is it the same story?

I think the coolest view of ki is at the top of Flight Deck. It just looks cool and you can see almost all of the park!

Well, I'm gonna have to agree with MDMC mean streak gave my friends and I head aches for the rest of the day... but i heard they "fixed" it and haven't been there since.

Alrighty folks i've got another question for ya, Upon my last visit to KI backlot drew my attention. I noticed it had a small dip at the end where it looked like water had once been for a splashdown ending. So I went home and did some digging, I found that on the promo video with the brady bunch and jeff seibert (which was pretty funny) that the animation had water at the end that splashed. So my question is did KI (or PKI) ever have water in the dip and did it ever splash? And do you think they will ever fill it? Cuz honestly its kinda lame. Thanks, DBI

I did it and it looked like poo... so i just took leviathan's track layout, edited it and stuck it there. Oh and gave it the name Mammoth (it was all i could come up with) heres what it looks like

That would be nice but I don't think that Kings Island is going to connect anything to X-Base for a long time. I don't think it would be too much of a problem considering the idea i proposed wouldn't be much larger than coney mall

I like this idea but i don't like the idea that the new area wouldn't connect to any other areas I think it would be cool to start the area in the back of AZ and continue it over behind Firehawk and connect it with XBase.

i miss kckc cuz i was wierd as a little kid and hated rollercoasters because of their height and noise. but i always loved log flumes and that one from what i can remember was pretty tall. i also wish i coulda rode sob loop days, king cobra, and tomb raider during its hayday

Hey Guys! I was puttsin around on bing maps looking around KI when i noticed a large area of land between Adventure Express and Delirium behind Sling Shot. Do you think that KI would consider placing a station there for a new coaster in 2013-14? Since we now know that SOB will be gone very soon, this location could be a potential spot for a ride to begin and take course on the once SOB land. It would expand the small oktoberfest area. never rode SOB so im not too sad but i wish i coulda. But I hope they put something record breaking back there in terms of height and/or speed... thats all i want

Hey guys, I was talking with one of my friends yesterday and he said that he was excited about his platinum pass. he told me that he could get into Cedar Point, Kings Island, carowinds, busch gardens... at this point i stopped him and said he couldnt get into busch gardens because cedar doesnt own it, but he insisted that he could. i only have a gold pass so anyone with a platinum, can you get into busch gardens? do they have a contract with CF? thanks DBI
