What exactly is an action river? I'm still confused about it.

Once again I will say, this is pretty much pointless unless they added a slide. The wave pool is pointless, because one is enough. Renaming it Soak City is pointless, because now we're just a generic water park. It will draw no attention. I do like the action river, though. If you tell me to stop complaining, I won't, because THIS is worth complaining...

They could have added one slide though. A simple body slide probably costs nothing compared to a coaster.

I don't get it. I thought Kings Island read or posts, listened to enthusiasts, and what not. This will do nothing. I mean, at least they could've added a slide along with the expansion! That's the part that angers me...it's just a wave pool and "action river"....what fun....not.

400ft tall giga coaster? 400ft tall stratacoaster*. By the way, does anybody think that a roller coaster will have a lift hill and be a stratocoaster?

So, basically what I am saying is it's not pointing out any hints to a new water park addition. Here's what I would like to have: I would love if we got a water coaster, but it has to be unique to others. They are boring when it's just hill after hill after hill. Rides like Wildebeest are great because there are twists and turns as well. We need a water coaster that will be better than any other, no matter the length (referring to Mammoth at Holiday World). If it's not a water coaster, a B&M invert is of course, the #1 thing that everyone wants, even though it probably won't happen. Lastly if we do not get those two, a screaming swing is obviously almost as popular an idea as a B&M invert. I've never been on one, but I think it would be a great addition to the Action Zone area, because that is in desperate need of a new attraction. If we don't get any of those things (which would be surprising), I hope it is as major as they are saying it is. I swear, if it is just new brick paving, or whatever, I will literally blow my brains out. Well, not literally, but....you get the point. You didn't have to read this, by the way, it's just me rambling on.

If I remember correctly, these were the same graphics from last year when they promoted season passes.

Good point - we don't have the get the ride on opening day. DA! opened in late May opposed to opening day.

That's what it is. If you have noticed, on Kings Island's site, where it showed the 3 question marks, and a link to Facebook, it now shows ONE question mark - referring to "Hint #1".

You can just PM an admin to change your name for you.

Basically, but it is usually 2011, 2010, or 2009...... ...then it ends up being a disappointment (well, not for 2009.)

Really, though, just because there are 3 question marks doesn't mean there are 3 new attractions.... ....although that is probably right....

It would be a good show if they did something other than hit each other with chairs.

Ahh, but this is about the event of the "announcement", not what's going to come for 2012.

We already got two new shows, why would they make a big deal out of another 3?

Apparently the winds are only going to go up to about 85mph, but I guess it's the flooding that will make the hurricane a disaster? And, Carowinds is open because it's not on the coast....

rip-phantomtheater, and all other people that do the same, just because there is a pattern you find does not mean we will get a new ride. Kings Island never said "a new coaster will come out every two years!". They build whenever they think it's time to.

Reading this trip report is getting me super excited for my trip next summer, with my six year old sister...who loves princesses! Looks like you guys had a great trip. I will be sure to tell my parents, "Hey, the way these guys did it is great - let's try their way!" (we usually go way too fast)...

This year was the first time I bought a souvenir cup, which is the DA! one. Every time I drink something in it it takes like plastic.....
