  1. ^ I agree with you about how they are both special in their own way, but I have to give the nod to The Beast. I grew up riding The Beast with my family since the early 90s to 2001. I still went after that year, but we all grew up in the family and it was hard to get us all together. Long story short, I love going to Kings Island now with my good friends now and days. Mystic Timbers is an awesome ride and like others have said, it would be cool to see what The Beast would be like today if it was built by GCI in today's world. The only thing I would change about The Beast is that they don't trim it half to death. I remember when they used to let The Beast go crazy without the trims. Getting back to Mystic Timbers though, I love how they incorporated a story behind the ride along with a theme. You can say what you want to about the Shed, but to me it's fun to listen to the music in the dark before you find out what's going to greet you before getting back to the station. I personally love the Bats coming at me the most. The song I love the most is Man eater, hence my signature.
  2. Why did they remove the wooden fence with winterfest going on? People might try to go over there and walk around in that.
  3. I hope Kings Island gets a Floorless roller coaster someday.
  4. This is going to sound dumb, but I hope the cars aren't Zebra colored like that one picture showed up above.
  5. ^ That Giga looks like it has a 90 degree drop. That would be awesome!
  6. Even though that station was built specifically for Firehawk, they could still use it for a possible B&M Giga, Floorless, or winged models. I doubt they let it go unused like they did for years with the flight commander pad.
  7. Has any demolishing started taking place on Firehawk yet?
  8. If they ever did reprise the SOB, I would like to see them use topper track and then incorporate the loop. After riding lightning rod, I believe they can bring a loop to life.
  9. This is another topic, but wouldn't it be cool to see a roller-coaster go over part of Flight of Fear in the future? Hopefully it's that proposed GIGA everyone is raving about.
  10. Not to be funny here, but what if they decided to go back before Fury and just make it 307 feet? If you make it just as thrilling as Intimidator 305 but two feet taller, the average guest isn't going to care as long as it's fun! The only people that might care or notice are the fanboys or enthusiasts.
  11. It's okay. This year when Cedar Point opened that new country stage in the back of the park by Maverick, that made that path really tight too. I'm sure Cedar Fair will make sure Kings Island has plenty of space over there.
  12. ^ I doubt it. There's still plenty of time to poor concrete before winter hits.
  13. I have an idea too. You know what's strange is my idea involves using the Centurion name that Cedar Fair filed to use, but has yet to use it. My idea would be for the new Giga coaster to use that name. Does that seem to fit the Kings Island lineup? I like the one guy's concept art with that green track on the last couple pages. I wonder what he thinks about using that name for a ride concept?
  14. I saw on facebook that there is a rumor of Firehawk possibly going back North again, but to Dorney Park. Wouldn't that be something? I think the general public would even figure it out if they did this.
  15. I agree with what everyone else had to say when they said Rivertown. You have The Beast, Mystic Timbers, and Diamondback that make Rivertown really unique. If I could change one thing though, I would move the Congo Falls ride over by Race for your life Charlie Brown and Thunder Canyon. It's weird how they have one water ride all by it's lonesome self in Action Zone. Also that would mean moving the old Tomb raider ride building over where Congo Falls sits now. I know you can't move a building, but I'm just talking RCT terms here. I also realize that would cost a lot of money to tear down a building, then move a ride across the other end of the park.
  16. ^ I love that model there buddy. I hope whatever type of B&M model it is, the track is green. Green is my favorite color and I know this statement is irrelevant here. Getting back to the GIGA topic here, does Kings Island or the city of Mason have a height limit of how they could build this proposed GIGA?
  17. You know what I'm surprised we haven't seen yet? An artist rendering of how the track layout will look. Oh well I'm sure we'll find out soon.
  18. Anybody think they'll reuse the station for the proposed 2020 giga? I know wrong thread, but that would be interesting to reuse the old Firehawk station. They already have the concrete set-up the way they like it for entrance and exit and they could keep the old photo booth that has been sitting vacant for two-three years.
  19. Maybe next year when Kings Mills Antique Autos open next year, they'll move the path of field of screams to where the other haunt is down the path a little. Forgive me I don't know the name of it, but it sits in the former action movie simulator ride building that used to house Days of thunder, 007: License to thrill, and Spongebob. Maybe to avoid confusion, they'll have a sign that points which direction each haunt goes. One could go to field of screams and the other could go towards the other haunt I'm trying to refer to.
  20. Is the Goblet Toss game stand next to get flattened? Also do you think they'll be removing those beautiful trees in there? I certainly hope not myself because I'm one of those tree lover people.
