1. The Bat's logo is 10X better than Banshee. The banshe has her arms out and hands open like shes saying "Ta-Da!" or "Its Fabolous!" Not very scary. The roller coaster tail is pretty cool but thats about it.

2. With all the money that the parks get from you, payiing for parking is ridiculous, seeing how they never pave it (KI), its hard for me to hate on this kid. Personally I feel like he should be fired no felony charged. Technically is it stealing but come on, kinda petty to try and convict for this. I think hes dumb for doing it but I also think the punishment should fit the crime. IMO of couse and im sure Bucsh Gardens will make an example of him, which is what this is really about.

3. I have gave this some thought since my Anti-AE stance. I would remove Both Log rides. First build all new log ride in or near Soak City. Second In the place of both log rides would be a monorail stations that would connect Action Zone and River town. If the removal of "Race For Your Life Charlie Brown" is unpopular simpley move it to Soak City and sell Congo Falls to the highest bidder.

4. I'd move Backlot Stunt Coaster to a smaller park. It has a low capacity, the launch into the helix is too intense for a "family" coaster, and it's an eyesore compared to what it replaced.

If I HAD to remove a ride, and I'm thinking from a personal standpoint as a customer, I would remove Diamondback. We already have a boring steel coaster in Planet Snoopy. I can live without one in the main park.

You'd remove the second biggest people eater after Banshee? You must like long lines at Beast and Vortex.

Besides, there's more that can make a ride entertaining than just forcefulness. Even if you personally can't enjoy the coaster, perhaps you could catch up on your reading? :)

Adventure Express, doing so would make room for another coaster maybe a giga.

Have you handed in your Kings Island fan card yet?

I agree with you on Backlot. No need to insult me on my idea.

5. ^And you're still missing the whole point of renaming Flight Deck to The Bat.

^^

And if you were a paid designer for the park, you'd design within the parameters you were given. If you didn't, you'd likely be a former paid designer. Maybe the paid part. Probably not.

Maybe I dont get it. I just feel like The Bat deserves more respect than to rename an old existing ride to The Bat. I like the new Logo, I love the colors. The storied history of Kings Island should not include uncreativity and rehashing. You wont hear no more from me about it. Its just lots of other cool things it could had been themed. Don't get me wrong Ill ride it and Love it. I just hope somebody understands how I feel about our Kings Island.

6. Fail, while they are at it, lets rename Vortex to King Corbra. Backlot to Screaming Demon.

But Vortex and King Cobra are drastically different coasters, ditto with Backlot Stunt Coaster and Screamin' Demon. Bat and Flight Deck, however, are both suspended roller coasters. Therefore, the renaming works in the nod-to-history sense. It also works in the "spooky" sense, as The Bat will neighbor Banshee. Renaming Vortex to King Cobra and Backlot Stunt Coaster to Screamin' Demon would make little sense, while renaming Flight Deck to The Bat is a clever idea that will give an old attraction new life, as well as tie the ride into the area better and probably give a small boost to merchandise sales.

Renaming great idea, I see your points, but what im saying is they promoted Banshee as a nod or a praise to removed coasters. They have the video of the tombstones, shows The Bat as one of the headstones. Kinda makes the who Banshee theme lame. That might be a stretch but it still doesnt make since.

7. IT'S OFFICIAL FLIGHT DECK IS BECOMING The Bat!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

"Thirty-three years to the day it was first introduced in 1980, The Bat will fly again at Kings Island. The park is changing the name and colors of the Flight Deck roller coaster to The Bat. The change will take effect for the 2014 season.

“There was a lot of passion and enthusiasm around this name change by our guests,” Kings Island’s vice-president and general manager Greg Scheid said. “They told us this is a name they wanted us to bring back. We listened and we’re excited our guests will again be able to fly The Bat at Kings Island in 2014.

“The name also fits the characteristics of the ride. Similar to a bat in flight, riders soar through the air, swooping, circling and diving unexpectedly as they enjoy this ride.”

The newly named Bat is similar to its predecessor as a suspended roller coaster with the tracks above the trains. When the coaster train turns a corner, the cars are designed to swing out to the side, sometimes swinging the riders parallel to the ground.

The new color scheme for The Bat will feature orange track with two shades of charcoal for the columns and structure. Black will be the featured color of the trains.

Designed by the Arrow Dynamics Company, The Bat was custom designed for Kings Island when it debuted as Top Gun in 1993. Riders soar over the tree tops and through a hilly wooden terrain and a series of sharp turns on this seventh generation steel roller coaster. The attraction celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013, giving its 20-millionth ride in June.

The Bat is one of 15 roller coasters at Kings Island, including the new world record-breaking Banshee set to debut in 2014.

The original Bat operated for parts of three seasons from 1981 to 1983, giving 1.8 million rides."

8. Tram from Action Zone to River Town, would be awesome! I would trade not having to walk forever to go to Diamondback from Banshee for a parking lot anyday. In park tram, or I guess what I want is a monorail...hmm que the song. "

Monorail
What's it called?
Monorail
That's right! Monorail

Monorail
Monorail
Monorail

9. Things I have learned

Fast Lane: Addictive

Reds Hall of fame grill: Addictive

Delerium: Fast Lane always gets you seats 1-2 unless fastlane has ppl in it.

Skyflyer & Slingshot: Buy your tickets early and ride later

Drop Tower: Thats its always scary

Backlot Stunt Coaster: More fun than it looks

Diamondback: Never gets old, hands and feet up is the best way to ride up. Pouring Rain = Pain

Vortex..5th car 1st row = Less rough

Racer & The Beast. Middle seat of any car.(not a wheel seat) Smoothest

The Beast: I always feel like my head is going to get cut off, and at night is a whole other Beast

Firehawk. Doesnt have bins and Last car (back of train) is awesome

Flight of Fear: Hold your head back

Flight Deck, Backlot, AE: Great coasters for beginners

Also that basketballs are annoying, if you fast pass you will get dirty looks, scare actors target women and teens, and "that all clear means your guys are up and outta here" :-)

10. Good morning everyone! Long time follower, first time posting.

They need to do something with the complete area back to flight deck. There is so much unused land, let alone a giant eye sore (timberworlf theater) that needs to be utilized. I deffinently feel Banshee is a big addition for A.Z. I loved SOB, but when it was built Paramont gid locked them selves for further expansion. Looking at the lay out of things, they are diffentely will be able to possibly recover, allow themself's a larger area to grow and expand the park.

By removing Aventure Express.

11. I will ride Vortex the same as I do now. I ride it on my way to beast and Diamondback, after i ride the ones in X-base. Then I ride it eveytime I pass it. Its not a ride I can ride over and over, but I do enjoy it, Banshee wont change that.

12. Camden Park does not allow unattended persons under 18 in. So what happens? The adult brings them in...then leaves.

I was at Camden park 2 weeks ago. I watched the ride op on Big dipper let a toddler on while the parent held it.
