ok first off, i came to Kings Island on 7/10 with a special group, it was quite amazing. we got there at 9:50 or so, and it started pouring down rain as we got to the parking ticket spot.we walked into the park, and got soaked.

it stopped for a brief time, but not long enough to open the rollercoasters. i went to Firehawk, and they said it had a lengthy maintenance delay beyond the rain, so i said forget this and went to the Son of Beast! it was only sprinkling by this time. i got there, and there were a few other people waiting for the Son of Beast as well. they said it had a minor delay, but figured it would clear up by the time the rain would clear. waited, and got to talk with some interesting characters in line for the Son of Beast, and 2 ride operators. Some worker codenamed "blueberry" was prank calling them multiple times while we were waiting as well. we waited till about 12:30 or so, and the Son of Beast opened! we were obviously in the first train of the day, something very cool. we went and it was amazing, i sat in the next to last car. it was amazing as usual, still its same old self, minus the loop that is. as we stopped at that checkpoint next to the station we saw a maintenance person working on the red car. we went through the exit, and i wanted to ride again, but they had closed the line. after us and maybe one more train, they tried to get the red train operational, but it didnt work obviously, because about 5 minutes later, it reopened with just the blue train running. this time, i rode in the very back car, and boy it was a whole different ride there. it was way less rough and you did get a bit of airtime, but not much. it was also good to note i rode next to some worker at Kings Island who was 6 foot 8, and he fit in the back car fine, however his knees would hit the barrier between cars, so he needed to ride in the front of any of the cars after this ride. after Son of Beast i hit face/off as usual, apparently they have a Cedar Fair policy about scared people where they take them off the ride. some person did that, and they had to undo our restraints twice, and recheck us all... annoying if you ask me. got off, went to eat at picnic groves. after that i took my little sister on runaway reptar, where we witnesses a kid have a seizure as he went off the ride, kinda scary, but they handled the situation ok which was good. as soon as we got off the ride, it rained again. we got lucky i guess. we then proceeded to scooby doo, and got inline just before a bout a hundred more behind us. we got through in about 5 minutes or so. i then rook her back to my mom, and we then rode The Beast after it stopped raining, then again as soon as we were off it poured again. we went to spongebob, and it was walkon. it stopped by that time, and we hit Vortex. again as soon as we got off, it poured. i feel sorry for the people on the car behind us riding The Vortex in the pouring rain, that mustve hurt. it cleared up after that, and no more rain for the remainder of the visit. i went to Firehawk, and it just opened as i walked there, but the line was forever long. our group i was with gave us these rider safety pass things for if there were long lines, so i sued that ability on Firehawk. went to the exit, and got it initialed, and i got there at 6, it said come back at 6:30. i rode Flight of Fear, a 20 minute wait, and it was fun, although i asked the ride attendant if we could do a lights on car, and she said no quite rudely. got on Firehawk through the special entryway, in the front car. it was amazing. after that i rode Son of Beast in the second train, and it was the roughest of them all, and then headed out to leave around 8. i did however stop to ride The Racers as it was almost walkon. i ran into some pretty slow girls, that had no idea what any of the rides were called... (Firehawk was the grey and red shiny ride, and Vortex was the ugly blue one with a corkscrew). they were annoying, but i corrected them with some good advice, and the names of the rides. then i had to leave as my mom had to work the next day. all in all i call it a good trip, despite the rain.

i was with the same group, but we didnt get any passes :( Good TR. Firehawk is my new favorite, until CP in August.

heh, well we didnt know about it till later either... the rider safety guides have little timestamps, where you can go to the exit, and go up to the attendant, and theyd either let you ride immediately, or give you a specified time. its for guests with special disabilities, of which my brother and sister are. they were there when we got the Firehawk stamped for 630, but then they left and didnt come back in time, so i ended up going by myself...
