Thanks westcoaster for the knights inn tip...the internet was good, and slept like a baby even with the trains.....

All in all a good trip..different. Didn't get to ride as much as I had hoped due to wait times and dodging intermittent rain storms. Glad I had the mp3 player.

Managed to get a few coasters in with all that...

Millenium Force...nothing short of AWESOME!!! The only coaster I have ever ridden that managed to get me a little nervous...I like the open design...the g's are harder to take than a few years ago, but hey, what can you do...

Mantis...another great one. I don't remember KC being that intense, of course, the last time I rode a stand up coaster was in '86..see previous comment on g's

Magnum XL..rough, and the lap bar pinches your legs. I'm glad it had seatbelts..due to my body config., I probably could have slipped out without much effort.

Gemini...didn't make it. Got to the gate..a woman in front of me was a single rider, and I decided to wait. Glad I did..after they dropped the first hill, we got a gullywasher..and unfortunately that woman and the train got stuck in that for 15 minutes midway through. Needless to say, they were all soaked, and I am thinking they probably got passes since all of them had their names recorded after they managed to get the train unstuck and back in the station.

Mean Streak-mediocre. I can't believe I waited over an hour for it. Not that thrilling; besides, Son is now smoother than it is.

Corkscrew..smoother than Vortex, however, was bored with it too. I did notice the ots restraint fit me better than Vortex..was lower, and I was able to see above that instead of getting my head mashed like Vortex, so that was nice.

Iron Dragon...I like Top Gun better..it is more breathtaking, however I liked the fact the fog was working over the water.

Maverick-and this disappoints me..but I couldn't get it either. 2+ hour wait in between dodging rainstorms, so I will have to catch this one next time. I did take pics, but I have yet to see how they turned out..I am not as good at that as Ronny is.

That's it...would have loved to make a 2 day trip of it, but not this time. I'll try not to let 20 years pass before I get up there again :)

I just got back from there tonight myself. Was it just me or did you notice they didn't seem to be running all trains on most rides until late in the evening. I'm sure they were trying to stay one step ahead just in case it rained but it made for longer than weekend lines.

I did manage to pull off Magnum twice in the dark after 9:30 as well as 6 other coasters so all in all it was a fun day.

1 hour waits for Mean Streak? Something is seriously outta whack if that happens. Was it just the rain or was it REALLY crowded too. Also, 2 hours for Maverick is a lot.

It was kinda crowded..I was surprised. They only had one train running on Mean Streak....had I known, I wouldn't have bothered. But yeah, I think half the park was at Maverick all day...I tried several times..with the wait and the rain, it just wasn't worth standing in line with no guarantee I would get on it.
