Press Release: Kings Island to Host the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 5K Walk

Kings Island, Ohio – Lace up your sneakers and head to Kings Island on Saturday, Sept. 29, as the Midwest’s premier family entertainment destination hosts the JDRF 5K Walk to Cure Diabetes. JDRF is the world’s largest charitable contributor and advocate for diabetes research and is committed to helping those who struggle with type 1 diabetes look forward to living longer, healthier lives.

The Kings Island JDRF 5K Walk features a 3.1-mile course around the perimeter of the park which offers rarely seen views of many popular park attractions. Race-day registration and packet-pickup begins at 7 a.m. with the race starting promptly at 8:30 a.m. Following the race, there will be food, kids’ activities, entertainment, music, health screenings and more.

On your mark! Get set! Go to www.jdrf.org to register online—simply click on JDRF Walks, select Ohio and pick Kings Island as your walk location. Participants raising pledges can earn a variety of exciting prizes—including single-day tickets to Kings Island.
