Dollywood Values

One of the best things I have read for a while, this article says much about America, about Dollywood and has insight into the industry as well.

For those who are not familiar, The Economist is a British publication, kind of a mix between Business Week, Newsweek, People and Forbes.

That was a superb article, Thanks for shairing once again!

The writer does such a good job conveying everything that I personally adore about Dollywood. It is so much more than being about the thrill seekers paradise. Dollywood encases everything that should be at a perfect park; the food, the atmosphere, the ride selection, the cleanliness and Theming.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair have a long way to catch up to ever be as good as the Busch Gardens parks or Dollywood, in my eyes. I couldn't care more about 200 ft. rollercoasters, but boy, does eating that apple pie slice while listening to James Rogers, or eating kettle corn while listening to Randy Parton sound amazing!

Parks like Busch and Dollywood truly understand what it takes to provide a complete park experience. Even though they are seasonal parks (excluding some Sea World's and Busch Africa), and their attendance figures are no larger than CP or KI, they still manage to make money and provide an all around experience.
