The Interpreter
One day only sale (note this is for the BASE pass only...): http://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/tic...seasonpass.aspx Nice of them to (not) mention what the benefits of the premium pass you aren't getting if you buy today are..(and that you DID get if you have already bought but apparently only at the park where purchased. This seems very like the way Cedar Fair botched things up last year with KI Maxx passes honored for Maxx benefits at CP but CP people who bought Joe Cool watching others get for free what they paid for...yet not getting reciprocal benefits at KI.... Sigh...
The Interpreter
Here's a more relevant link for most of you, at Kentucky Kingdom (with lower prices, too--less than $38 per person, with FIVE free tickets): http://www.sixflags.com/kentuckyKingdom/ti...seasonpass.aspx Note again, this is for the BASE pass, which doubtless will NOT get you in to other Six Flags parks.... Cory Butcher
I was considering going there at least once this year, and don't need all the bells an whistles. Thanks for the heads up Terpy! I'm fairly sure I'll be buying this! It seems to be a pretty nice park.
The Interpreter
Note it is a TIME LIMITED offer. Somebody else other than Cedar Fair is throwing pricing integrity to the winds in order to boost 2007 calendar year income, apparently.... Beware, these are BASE passes, they are good ONLY at the park where purchased....
The Interpreter
Given the complications here, I am quoting their exceptions, exclusions, etc.: The 25% savings applies to Six Flags regular Season Passes and Play Passes. Not valid on 4-pack, Premium, Outer Market or Combo Season Passes. If purchasing a Season Pass/Parking package, the 25% savings applies to the Season Pass portion, not valid on parking. Offer expires Monday, December 17, 2007 at 12 p.m. Noon ET. Children 2 years and under are free. Season Passholder Value Books will be available at the park in spring 2008. Free friend tickets are valid on select days, one per day. No purchase necessary to enter the AMA Sweepstakes, see official rules. Prices do not include tax. Shipping/handling fees apply to online orders. Some concerts and special events require an up-charge.
Cory Butcher
Have they quit selling all-park passes altogether, or will those reappear Monday at noon? I was wanting to compare, and see which option may better suit my needs, but I can't find them...I don't make uninformed purchases/decisions. I hate the taste of political Kool-aid (unless it is berry flavored).
The Interpreter
All passes sold until now were premium passes. The premium passes will now sell for more than they did before this sale...at least early next year.....
Cory Butcher
approx. how much were those premium passes? And, if you were to expect a price increase, what do you expect that increase to be?
The Interpreter
The passes sold before today were one third more than the quoted prices listed today and expiring tomorrow. (That's what happens when you give a 25 percent discount...) As for what the premium passes will cost when they become available, that information is not available for release yet. I'm not quite sure what to expect...but at Cedar Fair chainwide passes sold for $140 until recently, and are now $150. I'd suspect similar pricing or less, but time will tell. Cory Butcher
That, is about the post that I expected, haha. What has been their pricing in the past ? Can anyone help with that? EDIT: Thanks Interpreter, I just realized that you added something else to your post, thank you very much!
The Interpreter
The pricing in the recent past was exactly a third more than today....(that's what happens when you give someone twenty five percent off...). Put another way, Kentucky Kingdom's pass sold before today was just under $50, while SFOG's was just under $70, Great Adventure's a bit more, etc.
