WDW's Swankiest Restaurant Bans Kids

Featured Replies

I'll be. Maybe WDW does get it.

I think that they've actually listened to their visitors.

I'm actually waiting for more restaurants to have children's and non-children's sections.

This is great news. It’s not like the parents have no where to leave the kids while the parents dine at $125.00 and up per person not including drinks. Right next door at the Polynesian Resort they have a child care center called “Neverland Club” it costs $11.00 per hour and includes a kid’s buffet, enough activities that most kids beg to go back. It takes about 10 minutes to get drop off the kids get your pager, hop on the monorail and check-in for dinner.

The wife and I have been in the area the past couple years for our anniversary and have chosen to use the child care facilities during those dinning times and have eaten at Citicos also a very nice atmosphere restaurant at the Grand Floridian.

We are going to try Victoria & Albert’s on one of these trips and look forward to a kid free environment, but since we are on the Disney Dinning Plan it makes better sense to take advantage of the restaurant’s that are on the plan. When we are at some of the nicer restaurants at Disney we do see very few kids in the restaurant and they look very bored and are usually asleep before the main course comes to their table.

I know during our trip it’s nice to get away from Miss Rea for a few hours for some adult time. I know she is in good hands and I swear I think see looks forward to us taking her to The Neverland Club to get some serious kid time even more.
