Train Derailment near Cedar Point

Recommended Posts

Check out this link to the Sandusky Register, there was a Train Derailment near Cedar Point. If you click the pictures you can see CP in the background. This usually happens in the same spot every couple years, when the wind blows hard enough it pushes the train cars off the track and in to Sandusky Bay.

The weather here on the shores of Lake Erie have been rather violent the past 14 hours.

When I was going to work last night at 10:30pm the temperature was 52. At 3:30am this morning it was 17 with wind guests up to 70 mph. A local church had a cross come off of it's high steeple and crash through it's roof into the main church area this morning. And 4 boats (42' sailboat, 34' sailboat, 35' powerboat and a 28' powerboat) were knocked over at my yacht club. Both masts for the sailboats were destroyed.

Erie Bay (Presque Isle where Waldameer is located), where my club is located, rose 4' in 30 minutes due to the high winds.

Needless to say, it has been rather crazy here.
