Avatar
This new 5th park at Disney World will be exciting to watch as more information come out on all that it will offer. At $250-$300 per guest including a nice meal and all your non alcoholic drinks for the night is nice touches that will help guests take the plunge as they know they won’t be nickered and dimmed for food and drinks. It’ll be nice to only have 2,000 other guests in the park at most but I wonder where they’ll find 4,000 service workers in that area. This attitude in this quote always gets me though; Speaking of hotels ... The Mouse expects that Disney World's higher end resorts (i.e. The Contemporary, the Polynesian, the Grand Flo, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Yacht & Beach Club, the Boardwalk as well as the Dolphin & the Swan) will be the primary feeders for Disney's Night Kingdom. With DNK drawing most of its visitors from these pricier on-property hotels. At $325.00 a night for a room at one of the deluxe during the value season, I think it’s hard to pay that much then spend $1000.00 for the family to be away from the resort. In our case last year I gave my family a choice of either 8 nights at a deluxe and spending half days at the park, for a total of $2,600.00 Or 14 nights at a value resort for a total of $1288.00 and the savings being used to go to the water parks, Halloween party, cirque solei, and souvenirs. (Disney paid for all our meals and snacks with either choice for the duration of our stay) No one voted for the first choice although we would have liked the deluxe resort experience, but we will save it for a shorter stay. I think they will miss out on some potential guest visits if they overlook marketing to the value resorts too.
