KY Lawmakers Look Into Safety On Thrill Rides

Featured Replies

Somehow, without even reading that article, I knew that it was a knee jerk reaction to what happened last year at SFKK. Just wonder if more inspectors is really the answer.

I agree with the above statement. I think that there might be more to it than that. I do think it's worth considering. I have seen some ride operators at some parks who seemed, well... not that involved in their job. At CP and KI, I haven't seen that trend. Everyone seemed pretty involved. A problem with the cable though, that doesn't make sense because how could the ride operators know?

I feel like they are missing the REAL issue here. What in the you know what happened to the cable? How often was it inspected? When are they going to release the rest of the intel and let us know if it was a freak accident or neglect? I guess time and a pending law suit (is it still? sorry, I'm sure this is somewhere here but geez this topic has a LOT of posts) will tell.

I think SFKK has been on the decline for about 9 or 10 years. And it's not like they have room to expand much either.

They are already done with inspection and the ride just passed a monthley inspection that month. SFKK isn't on the decline they have greatly Improved the park, alot of paint jobs, new scenery and practiclly a new water park I think SFKK is Increasing in popularity but is still not getting the credit it deserves.

If you go there some time chan you would know. The ride operators knew because they saw it happen.

I believe he was trying to say how were the ride operators suppose to know ahead of time. Not afterwards
