SFOT or SFFT?

Featured Replies

For spring break ill be going to Galveston Texas. Being a coaster enthusiast i want to get some coaster credit. So should i go to Six Flags Over Texas or Six Flags Fiesta Texas? I think SFFT is a little bit closer, but im looking for the better coasters and thrill rides. I also know about Kemah Boardwalk in Houston, (i might also go there to ride Boardwalk Bullet.) Is there any other places you would recomend going to?

Thanks.

Thats a difficult question, both parks are good. Personally, I prefer SFFT, I know it has less coasters, but Superman is fantastic, Poltergeist (FoF outside, w/o MCBR) and Road Runner are very good, and the park atmosphere is so much better (best Six Flags Park in the chain in my opinion.) They also have great shows, and if the firework show is running, stick around for that. They project onto the canyon walls the story of Texas complete with fireworks and lasers, again great show.

On the other hand, Six Flags Over Texas has Texas Titan, Shockwave, the Cirque show if that is important to you...and HUGE crowds...I prefer Fiesta Texas by far, but if I had not been to either and could only go to one, I'd pick Six Flags Over Texas. You can't go wrong either way....By the way, it is a about a five hour trip one way from SFOT to SFFT...Texas is huge!
